Gallup: 44 Percent For Generic Republican, 39 Percent For Obama

Earlier we described some devastating news for Obama and Gallup just provided some more.

Forty-four percent of registered voters say they are more likely to vote for "the Republican Party's candidate" and 39% for Barack Obama in the 2012 presidential election, according to Gallup's June update.

Gallup does not consider the 5 percentage point lead statistically significant but with 17 months until the 2012 presidential election and Obama's dwindling poll numbers, rising unemployment, high foreclosures, tanking economy, increased gas prices and an out of control deficit, the numbers do not look good for Barack Obama heading into 2012.
