In a Black Entertainment Television (BET) interview, Matt Damon joins a prominent list of Hollywood liberals who appear to have turned against Barack Obama, a man they supported at one time.
Damon tells BET that Obama "broke up with me," continuing on later in the interview to say "There are a lot of things that I really question – the legality of the drone strikes, these NSA revelations..."
In 2008 Damon was huge supporter of Barack Obama, but the adoration has soured in recent years, as it has with other high profile Hollywood celebrities, such as actor and liberal activist John Cusack, who in June after the NSA domestic spying revelations, took to Twitter to say "Prism the name for electronic prison – all have to wear lojacks," and "Obama is becoming the next Nixon."
Prominent writer/director Judd Apatow joined in on Twitter with "What is this, North Korea? We are so inundated with so much info and so many problems – we have given up caring," following up with calling the spying "an outrageous breach of the privacy and rights of American citizens."
Liberal filmmaker Michael Moore jumped in to remind his followers of Obama's words in 2007 "that means no more illegal wiretapping of American citizens. No more (spying) on citizens... No more tracking citizens..." This was after saying the Obama " administration has now lost all credibility."
It is hard to feel any sympathy at all for these Hollywood celebrities when they got exactly what they voted for in 2008 and some in 2012.
