Riots, Looting, Arrests In California As Trayvon Protests Turn Violent On Monday (Photos and Videos)

By Susan Duclos

According to authorities in California, pockets of Trayvon Martin protesters in the Crenshaw district of California, an estimated 150 people, decided peacefully protesting the not guilty verdict for George Zimmerman in the death of Trayvon Martin, wasn't enough.

The LAPD finally declared an unlawful assembly shortly before 10 pm on Monday night as the protesters turned violent, assaulting bystanders, setting fires, vandalizing cars and businesses, kicking in storefronts and a group of angry protesters swarmed a Wal-Mart. LAPD officers wearing helmets and carrying batons swarmed the store to disperse the looters.

The photos below show just a small sample of the chaos created by the Trayvon protesters and the videos provides insight to how fast this whole thing can spin out of control as protesters outnumber the police in California Crenshaw and police hit protesters with tear gas and concussive grenades in response to protesters smashing windows and throwing rocks at members of the media.

Wonder how long before we start hearing claims of police brutality because the authorities didn't stand back and let the out-of-control Trayvon protesters burn down the town.
