KKK Starts Neighborhood Watch Program In Area With Growing Black Population (Video and Photos)

By Susan Duclos

It sounds like a very bad joke, but the Ku Klux Klan (KKK), a white supremacist group, has started their own neighborhood watch group, in a Missouri area with a growing black population, and dropped off flyers that has many enraged.

The flyers were dropped off  in a plastic bag containing the flyer and a rock in the neighborhood's driveways and it promotes a “neighborhood watch” program and reads, “You can sleep tonight knowing the Klan is awake.” A phone number is provided and encourages those with ‘troubles’ to call the Klan.

The flyers ask "Are there troubles in your neighborhood? Contact the… Klan today," and come complete with a figure in a hood on the front.

One member of the neighborhood, Steven Burchett, expressed outrage, saying "I found the note in the front yard. And it was from the Klan. I was furious." Then he added "That just tells you what a coward they are. A simple knock at the door, I can say I am not interested, thank you very much and go on. But instead they have to come through in the middle of the night and drop a rock in the front yard."

The police assure the public and the KKK they are not in need of their "services."

Would you want the KKK patrolling your neighborhood?
