Bomb Threat At Boston Courthouse Prompts Evacuation

By Susan Duclos

WBZ-TV reports that sources tell them a bomb threat was called in to the Moakley Federal Courthouse prompting an evacuation and the presence of police and Homeland Security.

A large crowd of media and civilians were gathered outside the courthouse after reports an arrest may have been made in connection with the Boston Marathon bombings.

The State Police, FBI and Boston Police have since said no arrest has been made.

More on the conflicting reports and denial from the FBI, via their website, about an arrest being made in the Boston Marathon bombings in an earlier piece.

More from MY Fox Boston:

Dept. of Homeland Security and U.S. Marshals could be seen walking around the scene.

Workers could be seen carrying cribs and children from the day care center in the court house.
Boston Police K9 units had arrived at the scene and were examining cars on the outside of the building.

Brigham and Women's Hospital had also been evacuated, but was later cleared.

Investigators say an abandoned car parked on Francis Street prompted the police to shutdown the area near Brigham and Women's out of an abundance of caution. Mass. State Police investigated and gave the all-clear. The car was not taken into custody.
