Obama's HHS Mandate Updates

By Susan Duclos

What a better time for the Obama administration to release an update on their highly contraversial HHS mandate which just happens to include forcing religious institutions to provide access, via their insurance carriers, to contraceptives and sterilization and abortion-inducing drugs, than on a Friday night where news regularly gets dumped in the hopes that the majority of Americans are too busy to pay attention to what is going on.

They also added in their final rule governing student health plans
which would provide free birth control and sterilization and abortion-inducing drugs to the Sandra Flukes of this world.

LifeNews reports:

The White House announced today that colleges and universities will also be forced to join religious employers in instituting the new HHS mandate that requires them to provide coverage for birth control and drugs that may cause abortions.

The Health and Human Services Department released information Friday afternoon saying college student health care plans will be treated like employees’ plans — making them subject to the mandate the Obama administration put in place that has upset pro-life groups for its violation of religious liberties.

The decision means college students — who already get abortions at the highest rate compared with women in other age categories, will be able to get free birth control pills, Plan B pills and the ella drug that causes early-term abortions days after conception.

The nation’s biggest abortion business is already applauding the decision, as it means insurance companies will pay for drugs Planned Parenthood dispenses, providing a taxpayer-funded windfall for the abortion giant.

Seven state's Attorney General's have already filed lawsuits against the Obama administration in regards to violation of the the First Amendment that protects religious freedom. Multiple religious groups have also filed lawsuits against the Obama administration over the HHS mandate that is part of Obamacare which, in and of itself, is being challenged on constitutional grounds. and arguments are to be heard this month by the Supreme Court.

Catholic, Lutheran, Baptist and Jewish Leaders have testified to Congress that they will not comply with Obama's HHS mandate which would force them to violate their religious conscience.

On March 23, 2012, a Nationwide Rally for Religious Freedom is being held in cities across America. The theme for the Rally is “Stand Up for Religious Freedom—Stop the HHS Mandate!”
