Interesting Daylight Savings Time Trivia
Daily Mail reports that a team from the University of Alabama conducting a study on the impact of daylight saving on a person's health results in an interesting finding:
They found that the abrupt change to a person's daily schedule increased the risk of having a heart attack by 10 per cent. This impact isn't felt on the Sunday morning as most people adapt their weekend schedule and rise a little later.
However, the risk peaks on Monday when workers have to get up at a set time to get to the office. When the clocks go back in October the risk of heart attack decreases by 10 per cent.
SFGate reports "With the longer days and hotter weather, professors from the University of Illinois have pointed out that the winter flea epidemic of 2012 will now get worse."
The last little tidbit comes from CSM who warns of "cyberloafing" due to Daylight Savings Times changes.
