While a win is a win, it is noteworthy that Romney finished last night with 6 votes less than he had in the 2008 Iowa caucuses and that he spent far more money than Santorum per vote.

CNN also has a demographics page set up from the entrance polls for those that want to see what demographic favorite which candidate, that can be found here.

Nate Silver from FiveThirtyEight calls it an ugly win after all the resources Romney put into his Iowa campaign.

MSNBC tells us three things they learned from last night's caucuses:

1) Romney still has a problem with his party’s conservative base… 2) Rick Santorum may be for real… 3) New Hampshire is going to be fascinating to watch…

Michele Bachmann has cancelled her South Carolina trips and has scheduled a press conference where Republican sources say she is suspending her campaign after her poor showing in Iowa where the only candidate she beat was Huntsman who didn't even bother to campaign in Iowa at all.

More on that after the presser when there is confirmation.

Rick Perry announced he would reassess his path forward but word is he has also cancelled his South Carolina trip.

Newt Gingrich vows to fight on.

Rick Santorum was the surprise of the night though and his speech at the end of the evening started with "Game On".
