Gallup finds that while a majority see the need for a third party, when given the choice between Republicans and Democrats, over who would better handle keeping the country prosperous and protecting the country from terrorism and military threats, Americans favor Republicans over Democrats.

top problem facing the country is jobs/unemployment and there too they favor Republicans over Democrats by 44 percent to 37 percent.
