Another Seat In The GOP Column

North Carolina House seat officially belongs to Republican Renee Ellmers now as Representative Bob Etheridge holds a press conference to concede, adding to the 60+ seats the GOP took from Democrats in the November 2, 2010 midterms giving Republicans control of the House of Representatives for the 112th Congress.

Democratic U.S. Rep. Bob Etheridge is conceding defeat to Republican challenger Renee Ellmers.

Etheridge congratulated Ellmers on Friday afternoon, saying his campaign came up just a little short. A recount that concluded in the morning showed Ellmers with a 1,500-vote advantage out of about 190,000 cast.
