Will determination help the unemployed if Tier 5 runs out?

Desperation is the emotion du jour, and it stems from the persistent unemployment facing the nation. People with wonderful qualifications, good work ethic, and experience have been declined any job other than their already full time job of turning in applications and attending interviews.

With nowhere to turn people look towards the government to save them by extending unemployment benefits past 99 weeks, or two years. But when that extension runs out, what will the unemployed do then? ...

... Today’s attitude lacks two attributes called persistence and self-sufficiency. Two attributes the greatest generation knew well. Perhaps it is time to turn to the world of American’s great grandparents, the WWII generation.
