Democrats that continue to try to dismiss the Tea Party as a fringe group, racist, out of control or claim the Tea Party is bad for the GOP and/or America, seriously needs to step back and take a look at what the Tea party is, what it has accomplished and how new polls are showing that a growing number of Americans are seeing the Tea Party in a favorable light, whether they participate in Tea Party events or not.
A recent poll by Christian Science Monitor/TIPP shows that "Forty-four percent of Americans now see the upstart "tea party" movement in a favorable light," and that 40 percent of those people say "would not attend a tea party event," which leads CSM to label them "closet admirers."
The Tea Party has backed candidates that have won GOP primaries against almost impossible odds against establishment GOP candidates whom many call RHINOS (Republican in name only) and according to some opinions, the Tea Party has driven many Democrats further to the right as they try to distance themselves from establishment Democrats and Barack Obama's agenda.
Even before Christine O’Donnell handily defeated Rep. Mike Castle (R-Del.) in an epic upset Tuesday night, the Tea Parties, all of them, had already won. No matter what happens in the midterm elections on Nov. 2, the Tea Party has moved the Democrats to the right and the Republicans even more so, and President Obama’s agenda is dead.
I have consistently seen Liberals try to claim that the Tea Party is simply a wing of the Republican party and I readily admit the Tea Party candidates are Republican candidates, but the story goes deeper for anyone that actually looks.
The Tea Party has chosen candidates to go up against RHINOS, has not worked with the Republican party as a whole and has gone up against the GOP establishment to do so.
The basis for the Left's association game is that Tea Party candidates are conservative and the Republican party is known as the conservative party, so in the eyes of the simpleminded, the Tea Party is the GOP and vice versa.
It goes deeper than that though when the Tea Party will fight against the GOP if the candidate or politician in question has not fought for the principles the Tea Party stands for, limited/smaller government, less governmental interference into American's lives, lower taxes, less spending, etc.....
There is one man to thank for the Tea Party, who drove it's creation, who is responsible for the very movement itself and all the rhetoric and association games from Liberals stem from their complete denial and unwillingness to recognize that very fact or acknowledge it.
The Tea Party is America's response to Barack Obama and his agenda.
Barack Obama is and has been the driving force behind the Tea Party and for those of us that are not part of the active movement but see the Tea Party in a favorable light, we thank him.
In my eyes, I believe the Tea Party is the one good thing Barack Obama has created for America as a whole.
