Pew: 8% - U.S.-Born Children of Illegal Aliens

Pew headlined with the term "Unauthorized Immigrant."

No, Illegal Alien is the correct term.


Pew Research:

According to an analysis of U.S. Census Bureau data by the Pew Hispanic Center, an estimated 340,000 of the 4.3 million babies born in the U.S. in 2008 were the offspring of unauthorized immigrants. This means that while a little more than 4% of the U.S. adult population is composed of unauthorized immigrants, their children make up 8% of newborn population. Additionally, 7% of the overall child population (those younger than age 18) in the U.S. are the children of unauthorized immigrants.
