Finally A Media Outlet States AZ Immigration Law Correctly

"It’s time for Americans across this great country to stand up and say, ’We’re all Arizonans now,’" Palin said. "And in clear unison we say, ’Mr. President: Do your job. Secure our border.’"

In an article about Sarah Palin joining Jan Brewer to stand up and defend Arizona's new immigration law, the Boston Herald correctly states the law without the misleading hype other media sources have portrayed.

It requires police enforcing another law to ask a person about his or her immigration status if there’s "reasonable suspicion" that the person is in the country illegally. Being in the country illegally would become a state crime.

The media and Democratic politicians as well as Barack Obama have continuously misrepresented the law and implied that police would be able to simply walk up to anyone and ask for documentation, when in reality, that is secondary AFTER the person has been stopped or detained while enforcing another law.

Bears noting that while the AZ law makes it a state crime to be here illegally, it is already a federal crime.

It also points to a question Palin asks that the people from every state should be asking, especially those that are weighted down with crimes associated with illegal immigration.

"I think for most American people the reaction to this would be, ’Why haven’t the police already been doing that?’" Palin said.

Yes... why haven't they?
