Massachusetts Special Election- One Day To Go

The election is tomorrow folks and win or lose, Scott Brown has done what some thought was impossible by becoming the favorite to win in tomorrow's Special Election for the Senate seat formerly held by the late Ted Kennedy.

Multiple polls are showing him with a lead anywhere from 5 percentage points to 9.6 percentage points.

CNN is reporting that multiple sources tell them that Barack Obama advisers believe Brown will pull it off and win against Martha Coakley.

Multiple advisers to President Obama have privately told party officials that they believe Democrat Martha Coakley is going to lose Tuesday’s special election to fill the Massachusetts Senate seat held by the late Ted Kennedy for more than 40 years, several Democratic sources told CNN Sunday.

Fact is, Martha Coakley ran a horrible campaign, when she decided to run one at all. She assumed that having a D by her name, she would automatically be a shoe-in for the seat and it wasn't until Scott Brown started rising fast in the polls that she came back from vacation and started actively campaigning. Then she compounded her mistake with gaffe after gaffe and began airing negative ads against Browns, to which one Massachusetts resident tells me the likes of which has never been seen in his lifetime in this state.

Outside groups have jumped into the fray and at last count have 13 outside groups paying for ads, with "Democratic groups outspending Republican-aligned by more than $1 million," and still Brown's numbers continue to rise while Coakley's continue to dwindle.

Despite National Democrats "scrambling" to save Coakley, the enthusiasm of the Brown supporters cannot be denied as Instapundit brings the reports of the last rally held for Brown, in Worchester.

A REPORT FROM THE SCOTT BROWN RALLY AT WORCESTER: “It’s an absolute mob scene. The police have closed off the streets. It’s mind blowing. The hall is already full, and it holds 3,000 people. There may be another 1,000 people outside.”

Meanwhile, reader Sean Fitzpatrick writes: “Pictures don’t do justice. Nothing like this in Mass since JFK. Worcester rally starts in thirty minutes and the streets are already packed.” Here’s a pic

Go look at the photos there. These people are hyped.

Compare that to Martha Coakley and Barack Obama holding a rally in Boston in a place that could hold 3,000 people and the two of them couldn't even fill that hall.

Watch:

Win or lose, Brown has energized Republican and Independent voters and deserves kudos for doing it all by himself. The RNC, not thinking a Republican could win in Massachusetts, did not do much to help Brown get where he has gotten in the polls.

We will be watching tomorrow's election closely and live blogging as much of it as we can here at WUA.
