Obama's Off The Record Jackass Commented Published

After seeing the news of how Kanye West took to the stage and grabbed the microphone when Taylor Swift won VMAs' award, to rudely interject himself and publicly state that Beyonce should have one, many people had a lot of names to call him and in an "off the record" discussion during the interview, Barack Obama was asked about it and evidently called West a "jackass".

This off the record comment was then publicized when "Nightline" co-anchor Terry Moran, put it on Twitter, saying "Pres. Obama just called Kanye West a 'jackass' for his outburst at VMAs when Taylor Swift won. Now THAT'S presidential."

Tat tweet got tongues wagging and immediately after, The Politico reports that ABC offered an apology:

Now, an ABC spokesperson explains to POLITICO what happened:

"In the process of reporting on remarks by President Obama that were made during a CNBC interview, ABC News employees prematurely tweeted a portion of those remarks that turned out to be from an off-the-record portion of the interview. This was done before our editorial process had been completed. That was wrong. We apologize to the White House and CNBC and are taking steps to ensure that it will not happen again."

Fox News points out that while the tweet was removed, it could still be accessed, via a search:

Moran's tweet has since been deleted, but can still be accessed.

West did act like a jackass.
