Photo-op Pics That Freaked Out New York Won't Be Shown

Hundreds of thousands of dollars spent for a photo op of a back up Air Force One jet flying with a view of the New York skyline for publicity, which just happened to send New Yorker into a panic, and those photos will never be shown by the White House.

New York Post reports:

The $328,835 snapshots of an Air Force One backup plane buzzing lower Manhattan last week will not be shown to the public, the White House said yesterday.

"We have no plans to release them," an aide to President Obama told The Post, refusing to comment further.

The sole purpose of the secret photo-op, which sent thousands of New Yorkers running for cover, was to take new publicity shots of the presidential jet over the city.

"The photos . . . are classified -- that's ridiculous," Councilman Peter Vallone Jr., said.

CBS Political HotSheet asks "If a 747 and supersonic jet fighter buzz the Manhattan skyline as part of an ill-conceived photo-op, but the pictures are never seen, did it really happen?"

Luckily some photos are already out there, so yes, we know it did happen.

Let us not forget the people that had to evacuate their buildings, just in case...

Question of the day goes to one of Ace of Spades' readers:

Quality comment snark from "C. Jordan"

Perhaps the photos were ruined by people running for their lives in the background?

Ok, that right there is funny!!!

Over three hundred thousand dollars were spent on those photos, supposedly a photo op, although now those photos from said photo op are not being released.

Some are asking if this truly was a photo op or something else and some just think Obama doesn't want to be reminded of how embarrassing this incident was for his administration so they are hoping it just goes away.

Either way it is a lot of tax payer's money for some photos that the White House now refuses to even let the taxpayers that paid for them, see.....

Pretty hard to have sympathy for an administrations that compounds one horrible decision with another, in order to avoid the embarrassment of the first.

Consider this your ridiculous item of the day.....
