Matthew Kent Sheley, 36 years old, living in Hollywood Florida, had 11 charges of possession of photographs of sexual performance by a child and after police identified one of those children, they charged him with sexual battery with a victim under 12
When Sheley moved from Hallandale Florida to Hollywood Florida, he left a few things behind in his old apartment. Namely hundreds of videotapes of children involved in sexual acts.Police are still viewing those tapes for evidence.

After these tapes were found by Martin Halladey, a property manager who was cleaning up the apartment, he reported what he found to the authorities and they tracked down Sheley, who used the nickname "Neptune", arrested him and charged him with 11 counts of possessing photographs of sexual performance by a child.

Halladey said the tapes were "pretty graphic." (Video of Halladey describing what he found.)

Sheley was identified by a tattoo he had on his left arm and hand that was seen on the video, according to Hallandale Beach police spokesman, Andrew Casper.

Sheley is being held in the Broward County Jail.

Sheley was arrested Friday after Hallandale Beach police said they received five videos showing attacks on two girls, both about 7 to 9 years old.

Hallandale Beach Police Department then went about trying to identify some of the children in the photos and video tapes and after identifying one of the victims through the videos and another from a photo, police added another charge to his growing list, this one for sexual battery with a victim under 12.

In trying to identify victims police also released another photo, that is described as "chilling", of a young girl's left arm, in handcuffs, with a kidney shaped mole on it.

The dates on the video tapes suggest these abuses happened approximately five years ago and although authorities have tracked down two of the victims, no word has been reported on their condition or whether the police have interviewed them as of yet.

Police are asking anyone with information on these cases or knows the identity of any of the victims, to please call Hallandale Beach Police Detective Rafael Matias at 954-457-1432, the police department's main information desk at 954-457-1400 or FDLE Special Agent Terry Mullen at 954-958-5400.
