Obama Aide Says Neither Democratic Candidate Ready for 3 a.m. Call

A quick video essay, if you will, which will show that the Democrats in their internal battle between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, is simply doing all the work for the GOP party, and doing it splendidly.

From a previous post.

First we had a Hillary Clinton ad, to which the text was:

"It's 3:00am and your children are asleep," a voice over says in the ad entitled "Children". "There's a phone in the White House, and it's ringing. Something is happening in the world. Your vote will decide who answers that call."

"Whether someone knows the world's leaders, knows the military, someone tested and ready to lead. It's 3am and your children are safe and asleep. Who do you want answering the phone?" the ad concludes.

Needless to say that ad is offended the far far left liberally unhinged, in a bad way.

The on the same day, Barack Obama issued his own ad, in a little ad war type battle.

Today we see a partial video of Barack Obama's senior foreign policy adviser, Susan Rice, speaking on MSNBC.

Video found at YouTube and the text states:

Susan Rice
: Clinton hasn't had to answer the phone at 3 o'clock in the morning and yet she attacked Barack Obama for not being ready. They're both not ready for that 3am phone call....

She is correct, neither Democratic candidate is prepared for that hypothetical 3am phone call.

That was only a portion of what she said and I have not found the rest of her statement anywhere, but the fact that those words came out of her mouth and she is Barack Obama's foreign policy adviser.....well, I think it speaks for itself.

You?

[Update] The Caucus has the complete remarks:

Ms. Rice
: He hasn’t and he hasn’t claimed that he’s been in a position to have to answer the phone at 3 o’clock in the morning in a crisis situation. That’s the difference between the two of them. Hillary Clinton hasn’t had to answer the phone at 3 o’clock in the morning. And yet she attacked Barack Obama for not being ready. They’re both not ready to have that 3:00 a.m. phone call.

The question is and what Barack Obama raised is, when that phone call is received for each of them for the first time, who’s going to make the right judgment? Who is going to make the right decision?

On the critical foreign policy issues of the day, whether it was a decision to go to war in Iraq or the decision to give President Bush the benefit of the doubt and beat the drums of war with Iran, Hillary Clinton has made the same wrong judgment as John McCain and George W. Bush. Barack Obama has made a very different judgment.

So neither one of them, and nor John McCain for that matter, have had that 3 o’clock phone call that others have had. And I think we have to be honest about that.

There you go.
