Geraldine Ferraro steps down from the Clinton Campaign

Ferarro's comments created quite a bit of buzz over the last couple of days, she has been criticized, called racist, spoke out and defended her words and even said she was being criticized because she was white.

Now she has stepped down from Hillary Clinton's campaign where she was a member of Clinton's finance committee.

Her letter:

Dear Hillary –

I am stepping down from your finance committee so I can speak for myself and you can continue to speak for yourself about what is at stake in this campaign.

The Obama campaign is attacking me to hurt you. I won't let that happen.

Thank you for everything you have done and continue to do to make this a better world for my children and grandchildren.

You have my deep admiration and respect.

What I find interesting is the pattern of things, where a single news article or controversy can cause all sorts of fuss to which people forget about when other topics hit the mainstream, because out of sight out of mind as the expression goes.

Is it a pattern, or simply the way things happen in an election season?

Not long ago, Bill Shaheen, a co-chair of Hillary Clinton’s national campaign, made statements to the Washington Post referring to Barack Obama's previous drug use being used against him in the 2008 Presidential race.

On the 9th of December, 2007, Hillary Clinton's campaign also asked for the resignation of a second Iowa volunteer coordinator who forwarded a hoax e-mail saying Barack Obama is a Muslim possibly intent on destroying the United States.

Following that they asked volunteer Jones County coordinator Judy Rose to resign after learning that she forwarded a such an e-mail on Nov. 21.

Now, Obama's campaign had a little problem itself with one of his campaign members resigning last week for calling Hillary Clinton a monster, but it seems that Hillary and her people make a habit of saying things, accusing, implying or outright lying about Obama and then, like sacrificial little lambs, after the story has gotten a lot of attention...they resign.

Is a Clinton pattern or coincidence?

Or are the people that support her just that nasty and underhanded without any guidance from Clinton herself?
