Weird, Strange and Odd News from Russia

Politics aside for a minute.

A nurse at a south Russian health center mistakes hydrogen peroxide for water when giving enemas and puts 17 tourists in the hospital, Itar-Tass news agency reported last Thursday.
At a military health center in Pyatigorsk, in the North Caucasus, a nurse used a rectal bulb syringe to pump peroxide into 17 people after mistaking the substance for water, which led to all recipients of the nurse's treatment to be hospitalized.

A spokesperson for the health center said "The nurse made a mistake - she poured peroxide in instead of water. But the situation isn't catastrophic, the sufferers could have stayed in the health center, but we decided to take extra measures."

The spokesman also assured reporters that "appropriate" measures would be taken against the nurse.

Since this is dealing with Russia and medical treatments, did you know that Russia also exports "unique" tasting and "aromatic" urine? (here is a site that translates the link above for those that cannot read Russian)

For gourmets, they even offer "unfiltered" urine that possesses a "natural smell and taste; not pasteurized", all for medical purposes.

Anyone else saying EWWWWWWWWWW right about now?
