VIDEO: CBS Reporter Gets Nosy and Nicolas Sarkozy Walks Out

One of these days reporters are going to understand that asking hard political questions are one thing but sticking your nose into something that is none of your business is a good way to have an interview ended fast.

Good for Sarkozy.

I saw the interview last night on 60 Minutes and I was happy when Nicolas Sarkozy answered after the idiot reporter asked him about his wife Cecelia:

"If I had to say something about Cecilia, I would certainly not do so here," Sarkozy replied.

The he walked out on the interview.

Before that, when the interview started you could see he was visibly annoyed that his press secretary had set up the interview and told the reported he was too busy and had other things to do.

"Okay. I don't have the time. I have a big job to do, I have a schedule," Sarkozy told the stunned interviewer, Lesley Stahl of CBS' news show "60 Minutes, through a translator. In English, he added: "Very busy. Very busy."

Then he calmed down and had some wonderful things to say about America:

In the CBS interview, the president reiterated his aim to work closely with Washington while at the same time insisting on his country's independence. "I want the Americans to know that they can count on us. but at the same time, we want to be free to disagree," he said.

The son of an Hungarian immigrant, Sarkozy said he admired the sense of opportunity that existed in America irrespective of background.

"That's the reason why I like the United States," Sarkozy said. "You can have a name like Schwarzenegger and be governor of California. You can be called Madeleine Albright and be secretary of state. You can be called Colin Powell or Condi Rice, and succeed."

He said he was "proud" to be nicknamed "Sarko the American" in France. "I love America," he said.
Nicolas Sarkozy has made it abundantly clear that he has every intention of repairing the relationship between France and America and has gone out of his way to do just that.

As for our reporters......

What makes American reporters think they can simply ask any question they want and have it answered?

The question about his wife was classless and held no tact.

Two weeks after the interview was held, Sarkozy and his wife were divorced.

I ADORE Amy Proctor!!! She uploaded the part where he walks out to YouTube...thanks Amy!!!!
