Perfect Example of Media Bias

Flashback for a second here.

We showed you on April 8th that al-Sadr, head of the Mahdi Army called out for his followers to attack Americans instead of the Iraqi citizens.

In a greatly touted protest, in OUR media it was greatly touted, spurred by al-Sadr and his followers, where they called and expected 3,000,000 protesters and the New York Times writer Edward Wong, as well as other news organizations created headlines such as this: Huge Protest in Iraq Demands U.S. Withdraw

Well, it seems that for all the media hype and the clear bias that is shown in the headline itself..... the actual number that al-sadr got to show up was 5,000-7,000.

Where are the millions he proclaimed would show?

New Delhi: Thousands of Iraqi Shias have converged on the holy city of Najaf in Iraq, to stage a massive anti-US rally on Monday.

Around 3,00,000 Shias have left Sadr City to travel to Najaf for the mass demonstration.

Hat Tip to Gateway Pundit for the picture that the coalition forces provided since OUR media couldn't show it and still get away with their "huge" claims.

3,000,000 huh?

Once again it takes the Multi National Force to tell us the truth because our media sure as hell didn't here and thanks to our colaition forces for providing the picture to back it up.... so now...Mr. Wong and friends...where is YOUR picture to show the throngs and throngs of millions of people?

Here is how Mr. Wong described the 5,000-7,000 people.

BAGHDAD, April 9 — Tens of thousands of protesters loyal to Moktada al-Sadr, the Shiite cleric, took to the streets of the holy city of Najaf on Monday in an extraordinarily disciplined rally to demand an end to the American military presence in Iraq, burning American flags and chanting “Death to America!”

Tens of thousands huh? Where is YOUR pictures...come on...show em!!!!!!!!

For those that like to claim there is no media bias.... the proof is in the picture, so bite me.

[Update] QandO Blog participated in a conference call in which the spokesman for Iraqi PM al Maliki and the Iraqi government, Dr. Ali Aldabbagh, answered questions of concern for those who were on the call.

He was asked about the increase in tips coming in now that the troops were living in the neighborhoods. He verified what the administration official had said previously - not only have they increased significantly, but they have provided much actionable intelligence. In fact, he was of the opinion that the majority of actionable intelligence is now flowing from the people of Iraq rather than government and military intelligence gathering resources.

They addresses quite a few issues as well as this protest that al-Sadr arranged.

If you read nothing else today, go read this.
