Direct Headline Lies from the AP and NYT

Headline from AP "Gates says US is not winning iraq war"....oh really. I happened to be watching when the questions were asked, Gates said:

Asked point-blank by Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich., whether the U.S. is winning in Iraq, Gates replied, "No, sir." He later said he believes the United States is neither winning nor losing, "at this point."

For the headline purposes of the story the AP puts up an indirect lie, once again showing their extreme bias.

Seems that it is not only conservative bloggers understand this either as showed in this piece and this one too.

The AP has lost credibility and with stories like this one where they refuse to print the "truth" they will eventually fail and credible papers and media outlets will soon distance themselves for fear of losing their own credibility. A fear with a good basis in reality.

The NYT is also headlining the same way and as their dwindling profits are showing, they also have lost credibility. When you lose credibility, you lose advertisers and readers and failure is just a matter of time.

Shame on the AP and the NYT.
