FBI Interviewing Milwaukee Resident: Stadium Threats

Although skeptical about how credible a threat it is, the FBI is interviewing a Milwaukee resident in relation to the bomb threats posted on the forum.

As I pointed out last night, the site has been shut down and stadiums have been made aware of the threat, but no one in authority is attaching any credibility to it.

The FBI was interviewing a Milwaukee resident Thursday believed to be responsible for posting what officials think are phony threats on a Web site about radiological dirty bomb attacks on NFL football stadiums this weekend.

The person, described only as a young adult, did not appear to have any ties to terrorist groups, according to a law enforcement official who spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation was ongoing.

The threats, which were posted on the Internet site a week ago, were not seen as credible and were not backed up by intelligence indicating such an attack might be imminent, according to the FBI and the Homeland Security Department.

Will update as the news comes in. I have to mention that in my mind, people who think it is amusing to ponder such events and cause commotion by speaking openly about them on a forum like that, have some serious mental issues.

I did list the yahoo search which showed the site and the fact that it is no longer available here.
