NYPD Cops Among Biker Swarm That Attacked SUV Driver (Video)

By Susan Duclos

As they say, the plot thickens in the case of the the incident in New York where a swarm of bikers chased down and beat a man after a fender bender.

A reminder:

Via Daily News, the terrifying story you will see played out in the video below.

Alexian Lien’s Range Rover was surrounded by several bikers on the West Side Highway on Sunday. One biker apparently cut the driver off and slammed on the brakes just before the SUV bumped his rear tire. But when the Lien — who was driving his wife, Rosalyn, and their 5-month-old child — stopped, several bikers began to damage his SUV. Lien fled, striking one biker. But the group caught up to him and pummeled him before cops arrived.

Turns out as you will hear in the video news report below that up to five NYPD officers were among the bikers when this happened.

Details:

According to at least two detectives witnessed the attack and brutal beating on Alexian Lien and did not  intervene. And investigators are still working to determine what role, if any, was played by the other three officers.

The men did not come forward until late Wednesday, four full-days after the incident.

There is an ongoing investigation into reports that several others were also off-duty New York cops.
