Overwhelming Majority Believe Voter ID Laws Do NOT Discriminate

By Susan Duclos

The level of support for voter ID laws to be implemented is increasing year by year, yet Democrats continue to fight against it.

Rasmussen's latest polling of likely voters find that 73 percent of likely voters feel that a requirement to show a photo ID does not discriminate against voters. 82 percent believe voters should be required to prove their identity before being allowed to vote. 64 percent believe that voter fraud is a problem.

This includes 35% who consider it a Very Serious problem and seven percent (7%) who view it as Not At All Serious....

Eighty-two percent (82%) believe all voters should be required to prove their identity before being allowed to vote. Only 14% oppose such a requirement.

Just 21% think laws requiring photo identification at the polls discriminate against some voters. Seventy-three percent (73%) disagree and feel that such laws do not discriminate.

Those numbers include 49 percent of Democrats that think voter fraud is a problem. 84 percent of Republicans and 58 percent of Independents who are not affiliated with either of the major political parties.

The most ridiculous point made in this poll is the fact that Attorney General Eric Holder insists that voter fraud is not a problem, yet a video surfaced of someone illegally obtaining a ballot to vote under Holder’s name in his home precinct in Washington, D.C.
