Illegal Immigrant Arrested 35 Times, Yet Not Being Deported

By Susan Duclos

Video below is the news report on an illegal immigrant that has been arrested 35 times, yet according to Alabama Hueytown Police Chief Chuck Hagler, when he spoke to an ICE agent and told him "They sent us a piece of paper called a detainer... basically telling him we are going to deport you," the response from ICE was the illegal immigrant would "probably just laugh at you when you give it to him, because he knows we're not going to come get him.'"

More from Hagler:

"It's not a matter of he came over here, there was a misunderstanding of our laws, or he was at the wrong place at the wrong time. There are a lot of reasons you could legitimately say somebody might have a brush with the law. There's a reason somebody may have one or two brushes with the law. When you start getting into the double digit arrests, you are dealing with a criminal."

Since Eldani is from Palestine, he is a problem of the state of Alabama. Hagler said he refuses to sit by and accept that. "This is a legitimate immigration issue, this is a legitimate concern. We see so much attention paid to other issues. I wish somebody would pay attention to this one," he said.
We here so much rhetoric from Democrats and Barack Obama about needing immigration reform, but why would the public trust Congress or Obama to create a new set of laws when the federal government refuses to enforce the ones already on the books?
