Geraldine Ferraro Dies At 75

Geraldine Ferraro, the first woman to run for vice president, has died of blood cancer, her family announced Saturday. She was 75.


Almost 13 years ago Ferraro was given 3-5 years to live according to doctors but new medications approved at the time allowed her to go into remission and live longer than originally projected.
