CNN: Obama's Approval Rating Freefalls From 76 To 46 Percent In First Year

February of 2009 Barack Obama held a 76 percent approval rating among Americans and within a year of broken promises, partisan bills and bickering and passing legislation the majority of Americans disapprove of, his approval rating now stand below his disapproval rating with the majority, 51 percent disapproving of his job performance and only 46 percent approving.

Broken down to individual issues, his numbers are worse on his job performance in regards to healthcare and his handling of the federal deficit.

In fact, health care was the policy area that drew the second highest negative rating, with 58 percent registering disapproval. The highest negative rating was 62 percent for his handling of the federal deficit.
