McCain Takes Lead in Zoby Poll

Crossposted from Stop the ACLU

Its a shocker for sure, but Drudge says Zogby puts McCain one point ahead.

ZOGBY SATURDAY: McCain outpolled Obama 48% to 47% in Friday poll. He is beginning to cut into Obama's lead among independents, is now leading among blue collar voters, has strengthened his lead among investors and among men, and is walloping Obama among NASCAR voters. Joe the Plumber may get his license after all...

Who knows if it means anything, since Gallup gives a gain to Obama with an eight point lead, but it is nice to see for a change. I'm afraid to announce it, cuz I'm sure it is somehow racist.

Lisa Schiffren wonders...What if it's really close?

10 Reasons McCain Might Win

'Persuadables' At 14 Percent

Just days before the presidential election and we see there are a large number of what is considered "persuadables", which are people that either have not decided or lean one way or another but can still be "persuaded" toward one of the two presidential candidates.

With the sand in the 2008 campaign hourglass about depleted, Campbell is part of a stubborn wedge of people who, somehow, are still making up their minds about who should be president. One in seven, or 14 percent, can't decide or back a candidate but might switch, according to an Associated Press-Yahoo! News poll of likely voters released Friday.

Who are they? They look a lot like the voters who've already locked onto a candidate, though they're more likely to be white and less likely to be liberal. And they disproportionately backed Hillary Rodham Clinton's failed run for the Democratic nomination.

For now, their indecision remains intact despite the fortunes that have been spent to tug people toward either McCain, the Republican, or the Democrat Obama. Fueling their uncertainty is a combination of disliking something about both candidates and frustration with this campaign and politics in general.

Those who have already made up their minds for either John McCain or Barack Obama are not the target audience in the last days before the election. The target audience are the 14 percent that can still be persuaded to get out to vote for one candidate or another.

This is the reason it is still very important to get all the information out there, pound it home, hammer the points we find to be key to helping those undecided voters decide.

Two pieces in Washington Post today bring that to bear, speaking to those that have not decided yet with their arguments of why they believe those "persuadables" should vote for John McCain on Tuesday, November 4, 2008.

The first titled "In Final Stretch, McCain to Pour Money Into TV Ads," shows that McCain is going to make a final 72 hour push targeting those folks and the second is Charles Krauthammer's piece called "McCain for President, Part II."

Sen. John McCain and the Republican National Committee will unleash a barrage of spending on television advertising that will allow him to keep pace with Sen. Barack Obama's ad blitz during the campaign's final days, but the expenditures will impact McCain's get-out-the-vote efforts, according to Republican strategists.

Charles Krauthammer's piece deals with economics and kitchen-table items.

The only people really listening to the candidates speeches and arguments right now, paying attention to help them decide instead of simply looking for one or the other to make a major gaffe, are those that have not yet determined who they will vote for in a manner where their minds cannot be changed.

Those are the target right now.

Iraqi's For McCain

They cannot vote in our elections, but since we continue hearing idiocy from the left about how the Iraqi's hate us, we are invaders, yadda, yadda, yadda, it is interesting to see the truth get reported and very surprising that it is the AFP reporting honestly about this.

AFP, via Breitbart:

For five years Ali and Mohammed have lived alongside US soldiers in their Baghdad neighbourhood near Rasheed Street, a prominent commercial artery running through the heart of the Iraqi capital.

During that time American culture and politics have become familiar to them, and they say that if they could, they would vote for Republican candidate John McCain in next week's US presidential election.

So, while they cannot vote in our elections, it is interesting to see who they would vote for if they could. After all, their future rests heavily on our actions, therefore they have a vested interest, even though they can do nothing themselves about it.

Woman Buys Foreclosed Home and Gives it Back to Owner

And a Samantha Rant!

Tracy Orr attended an auction of foreclosed homes, hers was one on the block for bid. She had bought her home in 2008 and just a month after purchasing it for $80,000 she lost her job. Orr fell behind on her payments and then went into foreclosure.A teary eyed Orr struck up a conversation with a stranger about her heartbreak, that stranger happened to be a God Send.

Marylin Mock was attending the auction to help her 27 year old son to purchase a house. After hearing Orr's dilemma she decided to buy the foreclosed home on a whim. She purchased the house for $30,000 then told Orr she could stay at her home and pay her instead of the bank.

What Marylin Mock did is a dream to many people in foreclosure who are facing homelessness and uncertainty. Just think about this. The house was worth $80,000, but was sold at a $50,000 loss for only $30,000. Why did this house have to go to auction and the bank lose money? Why didn't they work with Tracy who was struggling? What is so damn hard about giving an economic deferral to not only be a help to a client, but ensure a home loan?At $80,000 with about a 6.9% interest rate, Tracy's house payment is about $800 a month including escrow and possibly PMI (Private Mortgage Insurance). Keep in mind I am not a mortgage genious calculator or anything. So that means the bank will most likely be getting about $500 of that a month on a 30 year loan. That is $180,000 at the end of the loan. $100,000 profit! And not to mention the bank is paid first before much goes into the principle balance. So the bank gave up $100,000 profit to sell it at action for $30,000?! That is a $150,000 loss. That is just horrible business practice, let alone immoral to be kicking someone out of their home when you are willing to take it at such a loss. I bet Tracy could have easily afforded the payments of a $30,000 loan after she found a new job.

Folks this happening in the market is not a moral capitalism. This is an immoral action that in the end has effectively screwed over the entire nation. If people pulled their heads out of their behinds and actually looked at the numbers they would make wiser decisions. Because of this meltdown people are gun shy when it comes to capitalism. Look at the poll numbers, people are voting in a socialist. Now if that is what people want, whatever. I happened to disagree and feel there is more opportunity for success in a true capitalism. But even capitalism is out dated, we need economism, where people use their brains. What better way to ensure profit than to make sure people can afford your product? That means people need jobs, homes, and fair prices. In this way everyone who is willing will succeed.

Reporters From McCain Endorsing Papers Booted From Obama Plane

Thursday night reporters from papers that have endorsed John McCain, such as New York Post, Dallas Morning News and Washington Times, after having spent hundreds of thousands of dollars covering the Democratic vice presidential candidate, Barack Obama, were informed there would be no more room for them on the Obama plane in the last three days of the general election campaign.

Drudge reported originally on this and it has been confirmed by the Washington Times with their own article.

The Obama campaign informed the newspaper Thursday evening of its decision, which came two days after The Times editorial page endorsed Senator John McCain over Mr. Obama. The Times editorial page runs completely independent of the news department.

"This feels like the journalistic equivalent of redistributing the wealth, we spent hundreds of thousands of dollars covering Senator Obama's campaign, traveling on his plane, and taking our turn in the reporter's pool, only to have our seat given away to someone else in the last days of the campaign," said Washington Times Executive Editor John Solomon.

"I hope the candidate that promises to unite America isn't using a litmus test to determine who gets to cover his campaign."

The Times formally protested the decision, noting that it has one of the top 20 largest newspaper Web sites in the country, distributes its print edition in the key battleground state of Virginia, and has had its stories repeatedly cited by Mr. Obama and other Democrats throughout the campaign.

Fox News reports that the reasoning was "lack of seats" and the reporters tossed would be replaced with "network bigwigs and reporters from two black magazines."

This definitely fits with the theme we have seen in recent weeks where Joe Biden and the Obama campaign have banned access and interviews with stations that dared ask Biden some hard questions instead of softballs, which was reported on here and here.

The Moderate Voice also points out that Morning Joe today on MSNBC spoke generally about the coverage of Obama since 2007:

“All through this campaign, Barack Obama was the story the media wanted to tell. And if you ran against Obama, whether you were [Hillary] Clinton or John McCain, they were going to tear you to pieces.“

I guess if they didn't kowtow to Obama we now know what the campaign would do...just refuse to allow their reporters access and or refuse interviews with those particular stations or papers.

[Update] New York Post writes their article about this. Their reaction is "We are happy to be on the outside looking in. It's what makes The New York Post special. We are not in the news business to be liked."

Weathermen Violence: Someone Remembers

Cross-posted by Maggie at Maggie's Notebook

I received a comment from the daughter of police officer who lost his friend and fellow officer in a Black Liberation Army murder, known as the Brinks robbery of 1981, in Nyack, New York. Bill Ayers' fellow Weather Underground bomber, Kathy Boudin, as well as other Weathermen, was involved in the Nyack shootings. I've asked for permission to add the comment here, so let's begin with this from Christine:

The first time I ever saw my Father cry was the day his friend Officer Brown was shot in the line of duty by the Weather Underground, in my hometown of Nyack NY.

Later, Dad was asked to serve as a sharpshooter on the courthouse roof at the arraignment of the survivors (several of them died too at the shootout over a Brinks truck they were trying to steal).

Dad refused that job, he didn't trust himself to be just to the Greenwich Village protesters who'd traveled up from the city to hurl racial slurs at our dead in support of the criminals.

Officer Brown's fiancee worked at Nyack hospital with my Mom. The whole hospital was convulsed as they had to care for the wounded killers as well as their neighbors.

How ironic that a movement supposedly in favor of lifting up African Americans did their work by shooting an African American man well known for mentoring young men in our town.

Has Ayers repented from his works, or merely implemented them in a respectable place? I was in 6th grade when I saw where his ideas lead.
Christine has further clarified to me that it was not the Weather Underground but the Black Liberation Army that caused the deaths, but as I told her, there is a definite connection between the two.

William Ayers continues to say that the Weathermen ALWAYS notified their bomb targets that a bomb would be exploding within minutes. Hofstra University Professor Alan Singer, a spokesman for a recent petition in support of Bill Ayers' "character," a petition with some-3200 signatures, recently said in an interview that Ayers' actions placed no one's life was in jeopardy. We know that is not true.

Here is how Christine's story is related to Bill Ayers?

After the Weather Underground's extensive and successful bombings of U.S. Federal buildings, the group's bomb makers huddled in a New York townhouse basement, building a bomb to blow up a military dance at Fort Dix, NJ. The bomb blew early...killing three Weathermen - one of which was Bill Ayers' love interest, and sending one occupant who was taking a shower at the time of the explosion, into the streets, naked and bleeding. Her name is Kathy Boudin and she is a Weather Undergrounder. The townhouse owner, and also a Weatherman, Cathy Wilkerson, also survived.

The Townhouse
No lives at jeopardy?

Meanwhile, the fire consumed the townhouse as gas lines exploded and windows shattered into the street. But firefighters were able to get hoses on the inferno quickly and soon, it was brought under control. In the early evening, a man's body was found in the basement and a short time later, a woman's torso was discovered on the first floor. Police also found several handbags with personal identifications that were stolen from college students over the previous few months. Late that same night, cops located at least 60 sticks of dynamite, a live military antitank shell, blasting caps and several large metal pipes packed solid with explosives. Neighbors, including actor Dustin Hoffman, who lived next door, began leaving in droves. Read here.
Boudin and the Weather Underground were now forever tied with the first domestic terrorism building bombing in New York City. Eleven years after the self-detonation of the bomb makers in the townhouse, Boudin came out of hiding and for whatever reasons, and joined the Black Liberation Army.

In Nyack, New York the plan was to hold up a Brinks security truck. Boudin was slated to drive the getaway vehicle, and David Gilbert (at times identified as Boudin's husband) was there also. The heavily armed and trigger-happy Black Liberation Army quickly shot one security guard dead and critically wounded a second, took the money, and jumped in the back of Boudin's getaway truck.
Kathy Boudin

They sped away with the BLA in the back of the truck. In the resulting chaos, Gilbert was at the wheel and Boudin in the passenger seat. Two police officers stopped the getaway truck. Members of the Black Liberation Army broke from the back of the truck and mowed down the officers in cold blood. The dead were Sergeant Edward O'Grady, and Officer Waverly Brown.

Officer Brown was Christine's father's friend and fellow officer. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was the first Black American member of Nyack's police department, and had served his community as a policeman for 15 years at the time of his murder. His friends called him "Chipper."
Later, Dad was asked to serve as a sharpshooter on the courthouse roof at the arraignment of the survivors (several of them died too at the shootout over a Brinks truck they were trying to steal).

Dad refused that job, he didn't trust himself to be "just" to the Greenwich Village protesters who'd traveled up from the city to hurl racial slurs at our dead in support of the criminals.

Officer Brown's fiancee worked at Nyack hospital with my Mom. The whole hospital was convulsed as they had to care for the wounded killers as well as their neighbors.

How ironic that a movement supposedly in favor of lifting up African Americans [BLA] did their work by shooting an African American man well known for mentoring young men in our town.

Has Ayers repented from his works, or merely implemented them in a respectable place? I was in 6th grade when I saw where his ideas lead.
Kathy Boudin said she was just a "white decoy" in the whole affair. She had a 14 month old son at the time of the Black Liberation Army murders. Boudin spent 22 years of a 20 years-to-life sentence. She was paroled in Fall of 2003 to loud protests. Her son, Chesa Boudin, was raised by Weather Undergrounders, Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn.

From Outlaws of America, by Dan Berger,
In a communique, Weather urged people to support the BLA as one of many righteous expressions of Black anger at racism.
Notes:
Sgt. Edward O'Grady II was the other Nyack policeman shot to death that day. He was a former U.S. Marine, he served two tours in Vietnam, he worked as a volunteer fire fighter, and he was the youngest member of the police force to achieve the rank of Sergeant. His son went on to graduate the U.S. Naval Academy.

The Black Liberation Army armed robbers were:
Mutulu Shakur, Duwasi Balagoon, Sekou Odinga, Cecilio Fergusan, Solomon Bouines

Former Weather Undergrounders and May 19th Communist Organization involved:
David Gilbert, Samuel Brown, Judith Alice Clark, Kathy Boudin, Marilyn Buck

al-Qaeda For Democrats

Chuckle worthy to say the least.

After the left tried so hard to connect al-Qaeda to some type of McCain endorsement, Reuters spoils the "meme."

An al Qaeda leader has called for President George W. Bush and the Republicans to be "humiliated," without endorsing any party in the upcoming U.S. presidential election, according to a video posted on the Internet.

Notice the wording here from Reuters.

Al-Qaeda is not endorsing anyone but they are stating who they want to lose the election.

HMMMMMMMM, how hard is that to see through?

Protest Outside LA Times About Hidden Video

LA Times, Shame on You is the chant the protesters are yelling as they protest the LA Times for refusing to release a video they "claim" they have of Barack Obama at a farewell party for Rashid Khalidi, more on that in my piece yesterday suggesting we all contact the Times and demand they release the tape and let voters decide for themselves what they think of it.

YouTube Video below is of the protest and more photos of the protest can be found at Mere Rhetoric.

First Exit Poll Of Actual American Votes Shows Huge Win For McCain

Coutesy of Naomi Ragen
From National Review Online
From journalist Tom Gross
Thursday, October 30, 2008, 08.53 AM

Within the last hour, the first exit poll of 817 Americans in Israel, who attended U.S. election voting events in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv on Tuesdayevening to vote by absentee ballot, has been released. A startling 76 percent of those polled said that they had voted for John McCain. This contrasts sharply with pre-election polls of American Jews in the U.S., which indicate a strong preference for Obama. The exit poll findings of American voters in Israel are all the more surprising because less than one in four were registered Republicans, and 46% of registered Democrats living in Israel said they had crossed party lines to vote McCain. By contrast, the Republican crossover to Obama wasminimal - just 2%. The votes are significant as almost half of the 42,000 registered U.S.voters living in Israel come from key swing states including Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania. In the 2000 and 2004 elections, Israel had the third-largest group of American voters abroad, after Canada and Britain.

The exit poll was commissioned by Votefromisrael.org, an independent,non-partisan organization dedicated to promoting voter registration and participation amongst American citizens living in Israel.

SARKOZY: OBAMA'S STANCE ON IRAN IS "UTTERLY IMMATURE"

More than half of the respondents listed foreign policy (including Israel and Iran policy) as the most important factor influencing their vote.Separately, in a poll for the country's largest newspaper, Yediot Ahronot, most Israelis in general (not just Americans living in Israel) said they would prefer McCain because they are concerned about the anti-Israeli positions of many of the people Barack Obama has appointed to advise him onforeign policy, and because - in the words of French President Nicolas Sarkozy as quoted in Tuesday's Ha'aretz newspaper - Obama's stance on Iranis "utterly immature" and comprised of "formulations empty of all content." In most countries, according to opinion polls, if the local populations had a vote in next week's American elections, they would choose Obama over McCain. Among the exceptions (where McCain would win) are Israel, Iraq, Georgia and the Philippines (all countries that have had to cope with terrorism).

Obama's Promises Versus Reality

CBS News takes an in depth look into Barack Obama's promises versus the reality of the situations and Obama comes up short on what he needs to keep his promises.

Without question, the Barack Obama infomercial served as a very slick and powerful recitation of the biggest promises he's made as a presidential candidate. But the very bigness of his ideas is the problem: he seems blind to the concept his numbers don't add up.

They list five different facts showing that Obama cannot keep his promises to his supporters or the American people and they end by making the following point:

If he closes every loophole as promised, saves every dime from Iraq, raises taxes on the rich and trims the federal budget as he's promised to do "line by line," he still doesn't pay for his list. If he's elected, the first fact hitting his desk will be the figure projecting how much less of a budget he has to work with - thanks to the recession. He gave us a very compelling vision with his ad buy tonight. What he did not give us was any hint of the cold reality he's facing or a sense of how he might prioritize his promises if voters trust him with the White House.

Go read the whole thing, the reality that Obama supporters close their eyes and ignore, because they cannot dispute it, is the basic simple fact that 2 + 2 equals 4, except in ObamaWorld.

Huffington Post Writer Commits Suicide After Stabbing Lover 222 Times

(Carol Anne Burger)

The type of anger, bitterness and mental sickness that makes a person stab her former female lover 222 times is something that is hard to understand but it certainly qualifies under the header of "violent" and "rage".

Huffington Post writer, Carol Anne Burger, murdered her former lover, Jessica Kalish, by stabbing her 222 times with a Phillips-head screwdriver, around the back of her head and across her back, arms and face, according to police.

At a news conference Wednesday, police laid out what they'd learned during a week of investigation. They said the evidence pointed to one conclusion: Burger killed Kalish, a 56-year-old software executive whom friends described as worldly and intelligent, and then tried to throw investigators off her trail.

Burger and Kalish were married in Massachusetts in 2005, broke off the relationship last year but for financial reasons they continued to live in the same house.

All in all, the former couple seemed to be doing the best they could as their lawyer drew up plans to sell the house and divide the money. But secretly, police said, something was building up in Burger that would explode in a sudden, sustained burst of rage.

Minutes after someone called their home and said he had found Kalish's wallet and keys near 548 E. Gateway Boulevard, Burger reported Kalish missing Thursday afternoon. She told police Kalish left for a workout Wednesday night and never came home.

As investigators studied the case, several telltale signs, including the ferocity and personal nature of the attack, pointed to Burger, they said.

But before they could question her, Burger walked out into her back yard, pressed a gun up under her chin and pulled the trigger, police said. Detectives found her body there last Thursday but couldn't locate a suicide note.

Because there was no suicide note, police have had to use clues to put together the timelines of what had occurred in the days before the suicide.

In the days that followed, detectives and crime scene investigators put together this theory:

On Wednesday night, Kalish exercised at LA Fitness at 2290 N. Congress Ave. and was home by 9:30 p.m. A confrontation ensued, and she probably was dead by midnight.

After stabbing Kalish, Burger put her in the BMW and drove her to the Congress Avenue site. She walked home, a distance of about 2 1/2 miles.

Burger cleaned up the garage and used the washing machine and bathroom sink, where traces of Kalish's blood were later detected. She got into her Toyota Celica, drove to Gateway Boulevard and tossed out Kalish's keys and wallet.

On Tuesday night, detectives proved their theory, said Lt. Gary Chapman, who heads the department's major crimes squad.

Using Luminol, a chemical agent that causes blood traces to fluoresce under ultraviolet light, they found a "tremendous amount of blood" splattered throughout the garage, where the attack must have taken place, Chapman said. The Luminol also revealed Burger's glowing sneaker prints on the garage floor, mapping her steps after she walked through her old flame's blood.

"We believe the process of killing Jessica was pretty lengthy, in and out of the car," Chapman said. "She obviously was out of her mind."

Tragedy and unimagined horror for both families and while I didn't agree with Burger's writing, nor her specific political philosophies, the situation is heartbreaking on a simply human level.

Our sympathies to family and friends of both.

You can find Carol Burger's bio and Huffington Post blog entries here, as long as they leave the page active.

(Note- If you cannot manage to show some compassion for these two women's families and comment appropriately, I ask you show the respect and decency to not comment at all then.)

P.S.- My regular readers know me and I do not have a problem with speaking my mind about liberals, but this is not a liberal or conservative thing, this was an act of sickness, violence and rage and it goes beyond party lines and political sniping.

Tragedy has no political affiliations.

Obama's Spread The Wealth Comment Finally Resonating

You would have to have been living under a rock to not have heard of Joe the Plumber aka Joe Wurzelbacher, who asked Barack Obama a question about Obama's tax plan to which Obama said the words heard across the country stating that he would "spread the wealth" aka wealth redistribution.

That was a long story, very short, but it seems that since that moment, people across the country have started identifying with Joe, coming to rallies holding signs saying XXX the school teacher, XXX the construction worker and so on.

Joe Wurzelbacher has even been on the campaign trail with John McCain and it looks like people have started paying attention to that "spread the wealth" comment because in the most recent Rasmussen poll, we see a huge change and as of today, John McCain is trusted more than Barack Obama on taxes and Economy.

It is a small lead, within the margin of error, but considering two weeks ago Obama was ahead in that very same question, by one, and a month ago, Obama was ahead by three....we see a net gain for McCain of 5 points in one month on the issue of the economy and taxes.

After several weeks of John McCain’s campaign attacks on Barack Obama’s tax plan and idea of “spreading the wealth around”, the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds voters trust McCain more than Obama on taxes, 47% to 45%.

Two weeks ago, Obama had a one point-advantage on the issue of taxes and a month ago, he had a three-point edge. The last time McCain had the advantage on this issue was September 14, just before the collapse of Lehman Brothers started the meltdown on Wall Street

Please - do this for Abbey

Today, one of our own needs you all to become pro-active. Last week Robert Stokely sent an email out to the blogosphere. Many of us know and love the Stokely family. The Stokely family has already given much to America. Robert and Retta have already lived every parent's worse nightmare. Please read Robert's email below. I need you all to make a few simple phone calls. That - and pray. Please, do this - for Abbey. Thank you.

The Stokely's need your help as does many many others around the country to get Congress to act - please see the links below to versions of the U.S. House and Senate bills for Lyme Disease Research below:

Lyme and Tick-Borne Disease Prevention, Education, and Research Act of 2007 (Introduced in House)[H.R.741.IH]

Lyme and Tick-Borne Disease Prevention, Education, and Research Act of 2007 (Introduced in Senate)[S.1708.IS]

Abbey Stokely was bitten by a tick about 20 months ago. We have been to doctors - the best we can find and she is very sick to this day and I fear she may even die. Yesterday, as a home health nurse came to treat her under the orders of an infectious disease doctor, she suddenly collapsed, stopped breathing and then responded again. I buried a son, SGT Mike Stokley KIA 16 AUG Yusufiyah Iraq and that nearly did it for me. I don't think I can bury a daughter, much less I know my wife Retta can't, for like Mike and I were best friends, Retta and Abbey are the closet mother / daughter I have ever known, and on top of that, they have the closet friendship I have ever seen in my life.

The other day, Abbey became so ill and fatigued at school that a friend had to bring her home from school. We, like many other families, are desparate. We nearly lost Abbey in a car wreck five months after Mike died when she and I were struck in her door, sheering it away, by another car running a stop sign. We rolled and then flipped end over end for 180 feet. We spent 18 months gettng Abbey well from that wreck.

It was during that recovery time that Abbey was bitten by the tick. Since then she has had to endure something no emerging teenager wants - to have your life taken away and unable to be with your friends. Going to church is a struggle, yet her faith and committment to God leads her to save up her strength to go to church for an hour. She went to school half days, not even going other days. Amazingly, she maintained the high straight A average she has had everyday of her entire school career, and moved from 15th in her class to 4th (and she is in a very competetive 2010 class).

We understood and accepted what we were in for when Mike went to Iraq. Yet, his death continues to be a heart break to us every day. While other thirteen year old girls might have attended their first funeral to bury a grandparent, Abbey attended her first to bury a treasured and loved brother in a most public setting, TV cameras and Reporters in her face at the State Capitol prayer service, and then again as over a thousand attended Mike's funeral. Instead of a simple graveside service and prayer to get through for a grandparent, Abbey said goodbye to her brother to the report of a 21 gun salute, watching the flag draping his casket be folded, and then the playing of taps.

There are a lot of unknowns about Lyme Disease and a lot of "blowing off" of patients like Abbey and our family by the medical community. Some doctors have even had their license taken away or suspended because traditioanl medical community views tend to discount Lyme even exists in many states or that the regimen of treatment is two weeks of an anitbiotic and the patient is cured, and if not, they are depressed and need a psychiatrist.

If what I describe above is not enough for Abbey to go through from age 13 - to 16, she has had to endure going through every known medical test and being told we don't know what you have, but it is not Lyme Disease because Lyme does not exist in GA and you are just depressed because of what has happened in your life. Such is how it goes for many others like Abbey Stokely - they are blamed for not getting better and told there is nothing wrong with them.

Abbey Stokely wants to get better, she wants to live a full life, and she wants to be happy. Yet, in the face of the the physical setback of Lyme Disease and only able to go to school half days, some days not at all, she carried a full advanced placement high school load, elected to be the President of her Student Government, doing homework on weekends when her friends are out having fun so she can maintain her lifelong high straight A average. She is in a very competetive academic class of 2010 at her high school and has managed to achieve being ranked 4th in her class. She continues a strong faith in God even given what has befallen her, continuing to read and study her bible and carry on a committed prayer life. She is respectful and considerate of the needs of others even to the point the other day when she was rear-ended by another driver, and hurt again, she was more worried about how they were than her own self, and now worries if the other driver will get in much trouble with their parents and insurance company. She is chaste and would not dare consider a drink or illegal drug. She saves her allowance for college and dreams of being a doctor or doing something to contribute to the betterment of life for others. She was trying to walk several miles a day and build up strength to walk in the three day breast cancer walk and had raised considerable money to donate to the Susan Komen Breast Cancer Foundation by making crafts to sell and holding late night dinners for the staff at her mom's hospital. Does that sound like someone who is depressed and needs a psychiatrist?

Abbey Stokely is sick and could die from Lyme Disease. Now, we as a family need your help.

Congress has two bills pending - one in the House and one in the Senate - links above and for a tenth straight year will die if not passed out of Congress in December. We need to look at this disease and study it with an open mind and not take the hasty and closed minded positions as those with a conflict of interest due to ties in the research and pharmacuetical field have. A video "Under Our Skin" which is gripping and compelling to ask questions why not study and learn more rather than misdiagnois or outright ignore the problem. A legitimate question exists why the medical community, including CDC, is not responding and families like us, and people like Abbey, are being left with no answers, even being shunned and blamed with "the problem". Please help us and the many many others like us around our country.

I am not one who shows fear but I am really scarred for my daughter. Please guard your family from ticks, for Lyme Disease, while recognized as a disease in some states on the eastern seaboard from Maryland north, there are many states it exists in great numbers like Georgia but is ignored by health authorities. Remember, thirty years ago no one had heard of Lyme Disease until it was discovered by a doctor who studied the unusual onset of child hood arthritis in large numbrs of children in Lyme Conneticut. While the medical community blames the patient in many cases today, or misdiagnosis the patient altogether, we are very likely to look back one day and ask ourselves as a nation who we could have ignored it for so long and let so many suffer needlessly.

October 30, 2008

"What the Middle East fanatics want is not just our resources or even our lives, but our humiliation first, in whatever sadistic ways they can think of. Their lust for humiliation has already been repeatedly demonstrated in their videotaped beheadings that find such an eager market in the Middle East. None of this can be prevented by glib talk, but only by character, courage and decisive actions – none of which Barack Obama has ever demonstrated."

Is The 'Old Media' Against Barack Obama?

Ok, stop laughing.

I know, it sounds funny, hysterical even huh?

No smirking, quit giggling and pay attention ok?

Sheeesh.

I was going through a few pieces as I usually do, just browsing around and I ran across a piece in the Conservative Edge and while I do not totally agree with their reasoning here, I also cannot discount it because I have no verification one way or another.

So, we will stick to the facts and you can go read their view of these facts for yourself.

FACT: Six negative articles written about Barack Obama or the his campaign since the beginning of the week:

There has been an interesting development in the coverage of the Presidential campaign since the first of the week. The Washington Post has published a damaging story about Barak Obama's illegal campaign fundraising. Time Magazine has published an unflattering story about Lyin' Joe Biden being muzzled. The Atlantic Magazine has an editorialcriticizing the LA Times for failing to release the tape of Obama at a party for Rashid Khalidi. The AP has a story about Palestinians actively campaigning for Obama. Campbell Brown of CNN has a video and story critical of Barak Obama's broken campaign promise to take public funding of his general election race. And to top it all off, Howard Fineman of Newsweek says the race is not over.

Those links go to the stories the blogger wrote about each of these negative stories in the traditional media about Obama.

Those original media articles are:

The Washington Post today with "Obama Accepting Untraceable Donations." (We discussed this earlier ourselves right here)

TIME partners with CNN, with "Hidin' Biden: Reining In a Voluble No. 2"

The Atlantic with "What is the L.A. Times Hiding?"

Yahoo News, "Mideast Conflict"

CNN with "Obama breaks promise on campaign finance"

NewsWeek with "Why It Is Still A Race"

You can go over to Conservative Edge to get their take on why some media outlets are finally starting to report truthfully about Obama, which they think is the "Clinton" old media asserting itself.

Told you to stop laughing! Be good.

I have found a few more examples though of something in the air, evidenced by CNN's refusal to air the Obama 30 minute campaign commercial and issuing a memo explaining why:

Unlike the broadcast networks CBS, NBC, FOX -- and MSNBC and other cable networks -- CNN declined to accept the Obama program length commercial. In response to press inquiries this is the CNN statement that was given. And so this can be used as well on our air and websites when reporting about tonight's Obama program. We were approached by the Obama campaign and declined their request. We did not want to preempt our programming lineup with a 30-minute paid commercial program. We would rather use our air to continue to cover the campaign, candidates and issues like we always do from all points of view with the best political team on television.

MidWest Voices at voices Kansas City.com, with "Obama's cheap-shot attack on Sarah Palin"

There are more, but you get the hint. The media has done everything possible to avoid writing negative pieces about Barack Obama, and studies have been done showing how many more negative pieces they write about McCain than they do Obama, proving it without a doubt and yet since the beginning of the week, there has been considerably more percentage wise than in the previous months.

Fifty-seven percent of the print and broadcast stories about the Republican nominee were decidedly negative, the Project for Excellence in Journalism says in a report out today, while 14 percent were positive. The McCain campaign has repeatedly complained that the mainstream media are biased toward the senator from Illinois.

Obama's coverage was more balanced during the six-week period from Sept. 8 through last Thursday, with 36 percent of the stories clearly positive, 35 percent neutral or mixed and 29 percent negative.

McCain has struggled during this period and slipped in the polls, which is one of the reasons for the more negative assessments by the 48 news outlets studied by the Washington-based group. But the imbalance is striking nonetheless.

Whats up with that?

HOW THE NETWORK NEWS HAS DEFAMED GOVERNOR PALIN

The Media Research Center has undertaken an investigation the coverage of Governor Palin by the Mainstream Media. The results, while not surprising show a vicious pattern of unfair and disguising coverage by the news media:

Apart from politicians embroiled in scandals, rarely have the public perceptions of a candidate soured so quickly. According to Pew Research Center polls from September and October, the percentage of the public that sees Republican vicepresidential nominee Sarah Palin unfavorably shot up from 32 percent to 49 percent in just one month.

Why have so many Americans turned against Palin, who made such a strong impression on the public when John McCain introduced her as his running mate at the Republican convention in September? Most likely, it’s because the few good reports they’ve heard about the Alaska governor have been overwhelmed by a blizzard of bad reports. ABC, NBC and CBS news shows are covering Palin intensively, and they are running 18 negative stories for every positive one
CMI reviewed network news coverage of Palin for the two weeks beginning September 29 and ending October 12, the period before and after the October 2 vice-presidential debate. We found that ABC, NBC and CBS have been stridently critical of Palin.

Before the debate, the networks characterized her as a dunce whose shortcomings were dividing the GOP. After Palin laid to rest concerns about her competence by performing well in the debate, the network narrative changed: Palin became a demon, victimizing Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama with unfair criticism.

  • Major network news shows ran 69 stories about Sarah Palin between September 29 and October 12. 37 stories were negative, just 2 were positive, and 30 were neutral. Not a single evening news show ran a positive story about Palin.
  • Overall, 21 network stories portrayed Palin as unintelligent and unqualified. 8 of these stories played a total of 11 clips of Saturday Night Live ridiculing Palin. 14 segments featured the most embarrassing clips from Palin’s interview with Katie Couric.
  • 9 stories emphasized attacks on Palin by conservative columnists.
  • 14 stories demonized Palin as little more than John McCain’s attack dog.
  • ABC was hardest on Palin, with 9 negative stories (60%), 6 neutral (40%) and no positive stories. NBC ran 15 negative stories (54%), 13 neutral (46%) and no positive stories. CBS ran 14 negative stories (54%), 10 neutral (38%) and 2 positive (8%).
Conclusions
Network coverage of Sarah Palin has been so distorted and out of balance that the public cannot trust what they’re hearing from ABC, NBC and CBS about the GOP vice-presidential nominee. The networks have been so intent on assassinating Palin’s character that they have turned for added ammunition to sources they normally ignore – conservative columnists and comedians.

Contact LA Times- Ask Them To Release Obama/Rashid Khalidi Video

Contact Information for LA Times at the bottom of this piece.

The headline comes from the content of a piece the LA Times' newspaper wrote months ago titled "Allies of Palestinians see a friend in Barack Obama."

In that piece the LA Times described a farewell to PLO terrorist Rashid Khalidi, in which according to LA Times, Barack Obama spoke to the attending crowd and "reminisced about meals prepared by Khalidi's wife, Mona, and conversations that had challenged his thinking."

The Times also claimed in that article (page 2) that they had a video tape of the event, using that as their "proof" that their story was accurate.

The event was videotaped, and a copy of the tape was obtained by The Times.

The LA Times did not produce a direct transcript of that video, nor did they release the tape.

There is your background.

The John McCain campaign has demanded that the LA Times release that tape so people can see for themselves exactly what type of complimentary things Obama was saying about the PLO terrorist Rashid Khalidi.

"A major news organization is intentionally suppressing information that could provide a clearer link between Barack Obama and Rashid Khalidi," said McCain spokesman Michael Goldfarb, citing Obama's friendship with Khalidi, who is now a professor at Columbia University.

He said the video could, among other things, show how Obama responded to a poem recited at the party accusing Israel of "terrorism" and warning of consequences for U.S. support for Israel, which Goldfarb described as "hate speech."

"The election is one week away, and it's unfortunate that the press so obviously favors Barack Obama that this campaign must publicly request that the Los Angeles Times do its job — make information public," he said.

The LA Times has responded, claiming they promised their source who gave them the video, that they would not release it.

"The Los Angeles Times did not publish the videotape because it was provided to us by a confidential source who did so on the condition that we not release it," said the newspaper's editor, Russ Stanton. "The Times keeps its promises to sources."

Jamie Gold, the newspaper's readers' representative, said in a statement: "More than six months ago the Los Angeles Times published a detailed account of the events shown on the videotape. The Times is not suppressing anything. Just the opposite -- the L.A. Times brought the matter to light."

The original article said that Obama's friendships with Palestinian Americans in Chicago and his presence at Palestinian community events had led some to think he was sympathetic to the Palestinian viewpoint on Middle East politics. Obama publicly expresses a pro-Israel viewpoint that pleases many Jewish leaders.

So, the Times reports "portions" of what is on a video tape they "claim" to have and they also "allege" they promised the tape would not be released, but they do not provide a transcript of exactly what is on the tape either.

WOW... any doubt if this was a tape of McCain or Palin that they would have released it instead of continue to hide it?

If so, I have some kool-aid for you to drink.

Doug Ross has a Red Alert out from a source of his, which tells him a couple of the comments that Obama made, to which helps explain why the Times, who endorsed Barack Obama, is refusing to release the tape.

However, I received a tip from a person who has provided useful, accurate and unique data from LA before (e.g., "All six of CNN's 'undecided voters' were Democratic operatives"). Take it for what it's worth, but I believe this person is on target.

Saw a clip from the tape. Reason we can't release it is because statements Obama said to rile audience up during toast. He congratulates Khalidi for his work saying "Israel has no God-given right to occupy Palestine" plus there's been "genocide against the Palestinian people by Israelis."

It would be really controversial if it got out. Tha's why they will not even let a transcript get out.

Hat Tip to Michelle Malkin, we see that this has grown to the point where now there is a number of rewards being offered for that tape.

see Newt Gingrich; Ace; Dirty Harry; and JWR.

And another reward offer: $150,000.

The LA Times has started a mini war now, by claiming to have something, offering it as proof but only if readers will take their word that they have it without them having to prove they have it.

The LA Times is not even trying to pretend they are not biased at this point, because by hiding a potentially explosive tape of Obama himself speaking fondly of a PLO terrorist....the story itself is questionable enough, but to have his voice blasted across the world so people can hear it for themselves.... that could be the explosion heard around the world.

Do you think they should release the video and let the people decide for themselves whether or not Obama's words about Khalidi are relevant to them and how they decide to vote?

If you do think it should be released, here is the LA Times contact page.

Rashid Khalidi is ONLY ONE of MANY OBAMA ANTI-ISRAEL ISLAMOFACIST FRIENDS

With the controversy surrounding Senator Obama's friendship with Rashid Khalidi, and the tape being suppressed by the LA Times people are forgetting that Khalidi is just ONE of many terrorist-connected characters that Obama has allied himself with.

  • Cynthia K. Miller, treasurer of his senate campaign is a Member of a member Farrakhan's Nation of Islam
  • Jennifer Mason, Obama's Director of Constituent Services is also a member of the Nation of Islam.
  • When a former associate raised objections to Nation of Islam staffers, he says Mr. Obama's position was that he saw nothing wrong with the Nation of Islam and didn't think it was a problem. If true--and the fact that Ms. Mason still holds her prominent Obama Senate staff position bears that out--Obama's condemnation of Farrakhan, this month, is phony.Nation of Islam members, including consultant Shakir Muhammad, held important roles in the Obama state senate campaign.
  • When Obama first ran for the U.S. Senate, he gave militant responses to the Chicago Jewish News about Israel. Obama denounced Israel's fence--which he called a "wall" and "barrier to peace." He favored working with Yasser Arafat. When members of the Chicago Jewish community circulated his responses, Obama said that the answers were not his positions, but the work of a low-level intern. He submitted new answers. But that was a lie, the insider says. In fact, they were the work of Obama's Policy Director, Audra Wilson. Moreover, Obama told the insider that he blamed the Mideast conflict on the Jews:Barack told me that he felt that Jewish community was too inflexible, and that was why the situation in the Mideast could not be resolved.Source: Debbie Schussel

The End is Nigh?

From Pam at Iraq War Today. (And yes, I DO know Pam...lol)

My Two Cents: The End is Nigh?

So here we are, less than a week from an election that could quite literally mean the end of the United States of America as we know her. Paranoia? Perhaps. I never would have believed that my nation could truly be on the verge of voting itself out of existence. But here we are.

The golden child of this presidential election has deep, obvious cracks in his hallowed facade. There are signs that few could miss if they actually look - signs that indicate severe issues. Besides his associations with radicals and terrorists, there are scores of trouble markers.

He appears not to care who supports him. His website does not utilize credit card matching for donations; a test using the names Osama bin Laden, John Galt, and Saddam Hussein to make donations with the same credit card revealed that all the donations went through. In fact, a lot of interesting people have been donating to Obama; and foreign credit are also being accepted. Donations have come from Palestine. Good Will, Loving, and Dela Ware have also made donations. Obama also accepts donations from largely untraceable pre-paid credit cards. His campaign’s response to questions was that “no campaign can fully insulate itself” from these types of issues. John McCain and Hillary Clinton used computer matching (ABS) and citizenship checks for their donations. Obama checks neither....

And you know there is more - much more. Go read this well-articulated piece NOW here!

Barack Obama Takes Online Donation From Adolfe Hitler- Then Thanks Him!!

Not the real Adolfe Hitler, probably not even a person using a real name, but representative of the type of problems being seen and finally reported by the mainstream news outlets about Barack Obama online donors.

Let us start with the Hitler donation and move on from there to the Washington Post article today showing how the Obama campaign deliberately did not implement security measures which allow Adolfe Hitler and others to get away with donating money using things like pre-paid credit cards and avoiding the limits set to what a campaign can accept.

Meanwhile, last week a reader made a donation to the Obama campaign under the name "Adolfe Hitler" (Don't ask me why the "e") of "#1 Reichstag Building, Berlin, Germany", charging it to his Mastercard and is now getting welcome-to-the-big-change emails:

Dear Adolfe,

Thanks for joining this movement. It will take all of us working together to bring change to this country, and we wanted to make sure you know about all the opportunities to get involved in your community and online.

Check out the resources below — learn how you can connect with fellow supporters, organize in your neighborhood, build our national grassroots organization, and stay informed with the very latest campaign news.

The WAPO piece shows exactly how some of these donations come to be accepted by the Obama campaign in a piece they titled "Obama Accepting Untraceable Donations."

Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign is allowing donors to use largely untraceable prepaid credit cards that could potentially be used to evade limits on how much an individual is legally allowed to give or to mask a contributor's identity, campaign officials confirmed.

There is your teaser from the top paragraph, go read the rest to see how huge this problem is.

The bottom line here is that all campaigns end up having to return monies donated after reviewing the donations but Obama's campaign relied on over two-thirds of their donations coming from the Internet.

The Obama campaign has shattered presidential fundraising records, in part by capitalizing on the ease of online giving. Of the $150 million the senator from Illinois raised in September, nearly $100 million came in over the Internet.

Here is the kicker:

Faced with a huge influx of donations over the Internet, the campaign has also chosen not to use basic security measures to prevent potentially illegal or anonymous contributions from flowing into its accounts, aides acknowledged. Instead, the campaign is scrutinizing its books for improper donations after the money has been deposited.

There is your bottom line... sure all campaigns end up having to return monies that make it past their security measures, and yes John McCain has also had to return monies deemed unacceptable from donors deemed unacceptable, but Obama and his campaign have deliberately chosen to not implement the basic security measures that would catch a large portion of dummy donations.

They also explain the problems with the pre-paid cards:

The problem with such cards, campaign finance lawyers said, is that they make it impossible to tell whether foreign nationals, donors who have exceeded the limits, government contractors or others who are barred from giving to a federal campaign are making contributions.

"They have opened the floodgates to all this money coming in," said Sean Cairncross, chief counsel to the Republican National Committee. "I think they've made the determination that whatever money they have to refund on the back end doesn't outweigh the benefit of taking all this money upfront."

The Corner points to another example which shows exactly how huge this problem really is:

Which brings us to the case of Mary T Biskup of Manchester, Mo, who discovered there were scores of small online donations made to the Obama campaign in her name, even though she hasn't given him a dime. They added up to $174,800, which is a wee bit over the $2,300 limit. This very generous donation was not billed to her own card, but to someone else's - meaning (as the Post says) "someone appropriated her name".

Ah, but who? And, if just one unwitting front is responsible for 175 grand of the Obama take, how many other Mary T Biskups are there out there?

Public financing a general election campaign was put into place and candidates for decades have been using it in the name of fairness, yet this election cycle, despite pledging to use the system, Barack Obama went back on that pledge and opted out of it because of his ability to collect online donations and the fact that he believed it would give him an advantage and he could attempt to "buy" the election by outspending the $84+ million that John McCain received by keeping his pledge to use public financing.

Obama opened the door to this type of fraud, then took all the security measures away that would stop Adolfe from donating without proper checks to make sure Adolfe existed, to stop someone from using Mary's name from donating $172,500 more than the contribution limits allowed and allowed people from other countries to donate illegally.

PowerLine has been all over this story and tracking people that have been testing Obama's security measures and has another recent example:

This morning we received word from reader Kurtis F. of his contribution under the name Crazy Eight:

Crazy Eight from Swindler Lane just made a $25 dollar donation to Obama for America. It went right through to my credit card after a two day delay.

No security code. No address check. No name verification. Nothing. Unbelievable.

At PBTS, John Ronning reports "How foreign liberals (and jihadis for the matter) can contribute illegally to the Obama campaign." They can do it the same way Crazy Eight and so many others have done.

Bill Dyer at Hugh Hewitt’s blog gets right to the heart of the issue by stating:

"Fully $100 million of the record-breaking $150 million that the Obama campaign collected in September alone came over the internet via credit card donations."

The Raw Story points out an Obama Lawyer, Robert Bauer, lies in order to try to justify their lack of security protocol:

Obama's campaign laws say they have scrubbed contributions that appear dubious. One lawyer, Robert Bauer, attacked the premise, saying, "I have not seen the McCain compliance staff ascending to heaven on a cloud."

Campaign aides justified their practice of vetting donations once they'd been received, saying that matching credit cards with people's name is not a standard check conducted or made available in the credit card processing industry.

That claim appears untrue. A senior technology adviser for Sen. John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign said it is possible to require donor's names and addresses match.

Any grocery store clerk can tell you that credit cards transactions are rejected all the time if an address, name or zip code does not match, so one would expect a lawyer working for a presidential candidate to be aware of the fact that those type of security measures do exist.

Obama Advisor Praises Iran

OBAMA ADVISOR PRAISES IRAN

A note from Radarsite: "Welcome to the future of our foreign relations under Barack Obama. Much like his campaign, it involves dreams and fantasy." This from Ed Lasky in his superb editorial response to The Boston Globe. Now more than ever, in these last few days before this fateful election, it is vitally important to thoroughly understand what is at stake here, and to remember that what is happening in America right now has happened before.

One of the biggest misconceptions about Germany's infamous Third Reich is that Adolf Hitler somehow seized power and that the worst excesses of Nazism were later unleashed on the unsuspecting German people after he had assumed the reins of government. (Note: Before letting out that exasperated sigh and saying, Oh no, not another Hitler parallel, please read on). Thus the German Volk have been disingenuously portrayed as innocent victims rather than the complicit participants they most certainly were. The truth of the matter is a little less attractive. The overt murderous racism, the horrors of the Holocaust, the ruthless military aggressions, the almost complete suppression of civil rights, the ultimate invasion of Russia -- all of these fateful and ultimately catastrophic realizations of the goals of the Third Reich were clearly spelled out for all to see long before January 1933 when Hitler finally assumed the Chancellorship of Germany.

Throughout the pages of Mein Kampf, and in all of the Nazi manifestos, and in their hundreds of widely-publicised speeches their intentions were made crystal clear. And, far from seizing power, Hitler and the Nazis were legally voted into office. Subsequently, through a whole series of votes and referendums, all of Hitler's wildest ambitions were easily ratified and given the force of law.
Why? A wildly popular and charismatic leader had promised change. And the German people desperately wanted change. And they most certainly got it.

Here once again we are being seduced by the siren song of yet another popular charismatic leader who is promising us change. And in his Twenty-First century version of Mein Kampf, and in all of his party's manifestos, and in all of his innumerable speeches, his wildly ambitious and ultimately disastrous agenda is laid out openly for all to see. This article is just one more example of what we can expect from an Obama government. This will be our impotent answer to the existential threats posed by the mad mullahs. This will be our future.

If Barack Obama wins this election this coming Tuesday, no matter how horrific the consequences of an Obama presidency might be, we cannot pretend that we didn't know what was coming, and that a majority of Americans didn't enthusiastically embrace it.

Please God give us the courage and the wisdom the steer the right course through these perilous waters. - rg

Well, is it that hard to believe in this day and age that a major American newspaper offers up an op-ed filled with praise for Iran? This would be Friday’s Boston Globe in an op-ed written by Lawrence Korb and Laura Conley, both of whom work for the liberal minded Center for American Progress.

By the way, the fact that Korb has been identified as a key foreign policy adviser to Barack Obama is completely unmentioned - a major journalistic lapse but not a surprising one by the New York Times-owned Boston Globe.

Korb and Conley look upon Iranian efforts to help topple the Taliban as proof of the potential for Iran to work with America in bringing about some sort of Pax Persia in the region. This is a fallacy. Iran opposed the Taliban because the Taliban - a Sunni extremist group - hated the Shiite Persians that were on its border and hated the Shiites within Afghanistan. The Taliban murdered Iranian regime officials. The downfall of the Taliban was in the interest of the regime and their help when America sought to oust the Taliban was based strictly on self-interest. In the diplomatic realm, nations don’t have permanent friends, they have permanent interests. The interests of the Iranian regime is regional hegemony and the acquisition of nuclear bombs.

Korb and Conley blame Bush for failure to reach out to the Iranians. This argument falls flat. In fact, various Bush officials have sought to reach out to the regime (as even the op-ed mentions in passing) but have been rebuffed - as have a long line of other Presidents who have tried to establish relations with the Iranians. This is a fact that the op-ed ignores.

The op-ed also seems to blame Bush for the progress of the Iranian nuclear program. This is absurd. The program did not start under Bush (and was actually temporarily put on hold in the wake of our invasion of Iraq) but had its origins going back to the 1980s. The program has progressed apace - under Democrat and Republican Presidents. We have sought, along with the United Nations and our European allies, to work with the Iranians to curb their nuclear program in return for various “carrots” offered to them. The result? Rebuff after rebuff, as the centrifuges spin away.

What is especially striking in this op-ed is the complete silence regarding the nature of the Iranian regime. One would hope that a foreign policy expert close to Barack Obama would at least recognize how important it is to consider the nature of a regime when advocating diplomatic outreach. Where is the recognition that the regime is - and has long been - designated as the number one terror-sponsoring nation in the world (as Bill Clinton so designated Iran)? Where is the recognition that Iran has been helping kill Americans in Iraq and has done so in Lebanon and Saudi Arabia, or the awareness that Iranian proxies have killed innocent Argentineans, Lebanese, Israelis and for that matter Iranians (a regime that hangs children and gays and brutalizes women wins praise from Korb and Conley?).
That little matter of denying the Holocaust while openly boasting of plans to bring about another one? The theological and apocalyptic musings of its leaders (not just President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad), the talk of halos and apocalypse spoken by Ahmadinejad from the podium of the United Nations to bring about the return of the missing Imam? Sheer piffle, not worth mentioning. We will see more of these efforts to burnish Iran in the days ahead. The Iran lobby is stepping up efforts in Washington. The Persian red carpet is being rolled out.

Welcome to the future of our foreign relations under Barack Obama. Much like his campaign, it involves dreams and fantasy.

Don't Believe The Hype

(Cross-posted from America Needs Me)

If you are a McCain-Palin supporter these days any exposure to the media can be disheartening. Guess what kids? It's only going to get worse.

You are going to be under a barrage of negative news telling you that your candidate is doomed and your life sucks because you didn't fall under the Obama spell. "Hey, don't even get out of bed loser."

I think we have established by now that the MSM is not just in the tank for Beloved Leader Obama, they're naked and spooning with him at this point. They want you to be discouraged and stay home. So when you turn on the TV you'll hear all about The One's coronation plans. When you log into your Yahoo! mail you'll see poll numbers that will make you want to head to Mexico for some cheap Zoloft. The number one show in America this week will be "Barack Obama and the Mantle of Inevitability".

Just remember this, when I went to lunch on the West coast on Election Day 2004 all the exit polls were telling me that John Kerry was going to be the next POTUS.

This is hardly the time to go underground and hope we don't all get assigned to ACORN sponsored reeducation camps.

Rasmussen shows Pennsylvania tightening and Ace of Spades HQ has some ideas for working in the home stretch.

The angry, well-organized and deadly serious PUMAS offer some even more encouraging news.

Tonight we spoke with a friend from Hillary Clinton’s campaign who is now working for McCain/Palin — and is specifically working with Democrats for McCain in Pennsylvania. We worked with her in Texas, Indiana, Ohio, and Pennsylvania for Hillary and have spent many LONG hours with her in the trenches in all of those states. She’s smart, doesn’t BS, and never lies.

She says the same thing we do: John McCain will win Pennsylvania.

Nothing anywhere or at any time is a given, of course. But that includes an Obama victory. If you're a sports nut then remember how many experts picked the New York Giants in the Super Bowl. The game still has to be played.

If you can't get to a swing state and knock on doors, you can make phone calls to the state of your choice all you want between now and then.

Yes, it would be better if McCain was up in the polls right now but he's not. But we don't need to hang our heads, cry and get marched right over because we listened to the very MSM that we're always saying is biased.

One last note:

Extra beer might help.

Some Palin Perspective

(Cross-posted from America Needs Me)

Maybe some of the Obama Kool-Aid is wearing off in the waning days of the 6000 year campaign. Perhaps some people decided to take a real look at the Emperor-in-Waiting. Whatever it is, some small bits of perspective have been escaping the Obama Thought Suppressor and being revealed, hopefully in time.

The most interesting yet is from Elaine Lafferty, the former editor-in-chief of Ms. magazine. Lafferty is a pro-choice Democrat and former feminist activist but she has been consulting the McCain campaign (because he is the one who actually does reach across the aisle) to help with a speech on women's rights that Sarah Palin wants to give.

Lafferty addresses the dismissal of Sarah Palin as unintelligent by many media elites (code for "brain dead"), both left and right. Her assessment:

As Fred Barnes—God help me, I'm agreeing with Fred Barnes—suggests in the Weekly Standard, these high toned and authoritative dismissals come from people who have never met or spoken with Sarah Palin. Those who know her, love her or hate her, offer no such criticism. They know what I know, and I learned it from spending just a little time traveling on the cramped campaign plane this week: Sarah Palin is very smart.

This isn't just a quick wink and a nudge to a beleaguered sister, Lafferty explains in detail why Gov. Palin is smart.

I mean, instead, a mind that is thoughtful, curious, with a discernable pattern of associative thinking and insight. Palin asks questions, and probes linkages and logic that bring to mind a quirky law professor I once had. Palin is more than a “quick study”; I'd heard rumors around the campaign of her photographic memory and, frankly, I watched it in action. She sees. She processes. She questions, and only then, she acts. What is often called her “confidence” is actually a rarity in national politics: I saw a woman who knows exactly who she is.

I think it's that last line which has been driving Palin's detractors to act like psychotic chimps in a feces-flinging frenzy. They have spent two months attempting to define Sarah Palin with mostly lies and the silly, small town country bumpkin wouldn't let them do that. It's driving them absolutely insane.

There are people in certain parts of this country who believe that geography determines the proportional influence in political and cultural debate. They believe that they are the beginning and end of such discussions. Why? Because that is what they have been telling themselves all along. Spend your time with only people who agree with you and you will never be proven wrong.

I just spent two weeks in Manhattan. My friends and colleagues back there have no idea how to react to Sarah Palin in a rational way. She's from the West. She went to a state college. She hunts. She has a twang. In short, she is the kind of person they've heard about but have never bothered to wander outside of their neighborhoods and meet. How dare she presume to know anything or be anyone? I fielded questions about her that I usually never bothered to answer because they were so naive yet asked with such dripping condescension. I felt like patting the poor dears on their heads and letting them continue to revel in a perceived superiority complex that was crafted almost wholly out of ignorance.

There is an unwarranted smugness that comes with living in Los Angeles or New York or Washington, D.C. People seem to feel that the ability to pay extortionist prices to live make them superior. It never occurs to them that someone who can buy twice the house with half the money might be thinking more clearly.

Lafferty clarifies the differences between leftist feminists and Gov. Palin.

For the sin of being a Christian personally opposed to abortion, Palin is being pilloried by the inside-the-Beltway Democrat feminist establishment. (Yes, she is anti-abortion. And yes, instead of buying organic New Zealand lamb at Whole Foods, she joins other Alaskans in hunting for food. That's it. She is not a right-wing nut, and all the rest of the Internet drivel—the book banning at the Library, the rape kits decision—is nonsense. I digress.)

Then she hits the point that I believe will make Sarah Palin stronger in the future no matter what happens next week.

I am obviously personally pro-choice, and I disagree with McCain and Palin on that and a few other issues. But like many other Democrats, including Lynn Rothschild, I'm tired of the Democratic Party taking women for granted.

The Democrats have been doing a lip-service, smoke and mirrors job with women and minorities for a long time now. Absent any clear, fundamentally sound vision for America, the modern Democratic party has had to deal almost exclusively in identity politics. Their nightmare this year was that their two mainstays of identity politics went against each other in the primaries. One group stood a good chance of being alienated. When the Republicans reached out to women with the choice of Gov. Palin the hardcore leftist women were quick to excoriate her for not participating in group think.

Not all women on the left are hardcore NARAL and NOW activists, however. The hard working pragmatists who have to manage seemingly unmanageable work loads will notice the condescending tone in the promises of the Democrats and remember the dump the party took on Hillary Clinton. If not in this election, then very soon.

A final quote about Sarah Palin from Lafferty:

Will Palin's time come next week? I don't know. But her time will come.

Two Percentage Point Difference Among Likely Voters?

The media keeps trumpeting an Obama win in the upcoming election just a week away but the polling seems to show that the result is not a foregone conclusion by any means.

Among "likely voters" which uses the traditional models of historical voting habits, there is a two percentage point advantage for Barack Obama, according to Gallup.

Gallup has also started something new they call their "expanded" models which doesn't take history and previous voting history into account at all and under that model Obama holds a seven percentage point lead.

The traditional likely voter model matches the recent IBD/TIPP poll which showed an Obama advantage at 3 percentage points as well.

About IBD/TIPP: An analysis of Final Certified Results for the 2004 election showed IBD's polling partner, TIPP, was the most accurate pollster of the campaign season.

Obama's "spread the wealth" comments seem to have started resounding echo inside the heads of those that previously were undecided and it is not a theme the majority wanted to hear and these most recent numbers might be reflecting that.

The media might want people to think the race is over but with one week to go it seems the "people" have decided their votes might just actually count more than the pre-election "spin."

On a side note since we are talking about the media here, it also looks like MSNBC is getting ripped by both sides of the aisle with Democrats saying they are "completely out of control."

Obama Team Directs Dirty Tricks: Just Make it Up!

Cross-posted by Maggie at Maggie's Notebook

Amanda Carpenter, writing for Townhall.com on Oct. 27th exposes the release of a Democrat "playbook" of dirty tricks:

Documents obtained by Townhall show the Democratic Party encouraged party activists to accuse the GOP of intimidating minorities on Election Day even if no evidence of intimidation existed in the 2004 presidential election. The tactic is being used again in 2008, this time to downplay fraud charges against a predominantly minority non-profit supporting Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.
The Obama campaign has been busily probing the festering issue of voter suppression. Obama Camp Charges... a Partisan Plot," the Wall Street Journal reports on October 17th:
The Obama campaign charged Friday that John McCain, in concert with the Bush administration, has embarked on a studied effort to disrupt Election Day in many states and suppress the vote.
Carpenter describes nine pages of a former Kerry-Edwards handbook titled Minority Voter Intimidation. After instructions on how to recognize "intimidation," the manual moves on to what to do if you don't find any intimidation:
If no signs of intimidation techniques have emerged yet, launch a ‘pre-emptive strike." The manual said this should be done by placing stories in mainstream and specialty press “in which minority leadership expresses concern about the threat of intimidation tactics” and “prime minority leadership to discuss the issue in the media; provide talking points.”
Some of the suggested talking points included lines like “Nothing is more despicable than trying to deprive any American of the previous right to vote, the foundation of our democracy for which so many have sacrificed.”
Well, you're probably saying, this was back in the Kerry-Bush election...nothing to do with today - well, you would be wrong, according to Ms. Carpenter:
The Democrats’ preemptive strike has been delivered from Barack Obama’s legal team this time around.
Nevermind all that. The Obama legal team has once again leaned on the Department of Justice to get the McCain campaign straightened out. Obama attorney Robert Bauer accuses "agents of the McCain campaign and the Republican National Committee of:
...striking locally at election officials and boards around the country, sowing confusion and seeking through baseless legal maneuvers...
and specifically, Obama et al takes offense at this:
McCain’s remarks that ACORN’s voter registration fraud “threatens the fabric of our Democracy” and Palin’s assessment that there is a “choice between a candidate who won’t disavow a group committing voter fraud and a leader who won’t tolerate voter fraud.”
Carpenter reports that former U.S. Senators Danforth and Rudman are heading-up a committee on behalf of the McCain campaign to "take action against voter fraud. The GOP, reportedly, has asked Obama 08 to participate, no surprise: "the Democrats had declined."

Nicolas Sarkozy Says Obama's Position On Iran Is 'Utterly Immature'

[Update below from the French Embassy's communiqué regarding the remarks attributed by the newspaper Haaretz to the President of the French Republic concerning Senator Obama's stance on Iran.]

I think many of us said quite the same thing as it is being reported Nicolas Sarkozy is saying about Barack Obama's stance on Iran.

During the Democratic primaries, a YouTube questioner asked the Democratic candidates a question, I am putting the video of that question and the answer below so people can see for themselves exactly what Barack Obama said, despite his trying to "qualify" his statement later when he received criticism for his original answer.

YouTube URL for video above, here.

Text:

QUESTION: In 1982, Anwar Sadat traveled to Israel, a trip that resulted in a peace agreement that has lasted ever since.

In the spirit of that type of bold leadership, would you be willing to meet separately, without precondition, during the first year of your administration, in Washington or anywhere else, with the leaders of Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Cuba and North Korea, in order to bridge the gap that divides our countries?

COOPER: I should also point out that Stephen is in the crowd tonight.

Senator Obama?

OBAMA: I would. And the reason is this, that the notion that somehow not talking to countries is punishment to them -- which has been the guiding diplomatic principle of this administration -- is ridiculous.

(APPLAUSE)

Now, Ronald Reagan and Democratic presidents like JFK constantly spoke to Soviet Union at a time when Ronald Reagan called them an evil empire. And the reason is because they understood that we may not trust them and they may pose an extraordinary danger to this country, but we had the obligation to find areas where we can potentially move forward.

And I think that it is a disgrace that we have not spoken to them. We’ve been talking about Iraq -- one of the first things that I would do in terms of moving a diplomatic effort in the region forward is to send a signal that we need to talk to Iran and Syria because they’re going to have responsibilities if Iraq collapses.

It does bear mentioning that according to the transcript of that debate, directly after Obama made that statement, Hillary Clinton was asked the same question and her answer was much more realistic. Page 14, found here, you can see Hillary's answer.

Which brings us to today's report, in which sources tell Haaretz that Nicolas Sarkozy, in closed forums in France, has stated that Barack Obama's stance regarding Iran is "utterly immature" and comprised of "formulations empty of all content."

Obama visited Paris in July, and the Iranian issue was at the heart of his meeting with Sarkozy. At a joint press conference afterward, Obama urged Iran to accept the West's proposal on its nuclear program, saying that Iran was creating a serious situation that endangered both Israel and the West.

According to the reports reaching Israel, Sarkozy told Obama at that meeting that if the new American president elected in November changed his country's policy toward Iran, that would be "very problematic."

Until now, the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany have tried to maintain a united front on Iran. But according to the senior Israeli source, Sarkozy fears that Obama might "arrogantly" ignore the other members of this front and open a direct dialogue with Iran without preconditions.

Following their July meeting, Sarkozy repeatedly expressed disappointment with Obama's positions on Iran, concluding that they were "not crystallized, and therefore many issues remain open," the Israeli source said. Advisors to the French president who held separate meetings with Obama's advisors came away with similar impressions and expressed similar disappointment.

Obama speaks well, there is no doubt about it, he gives good speeches, admitted.

Whether those speeches actually represent reality is another thing and one his supporters do not seem to ask themselves at all.

Sarkozy uses words like "arrogant” and “unilateral” when speaking about Obama and that is exactly right. Obama is like a child that can see no further than what he wants, what he thinks the world should be like rather than seeing what the world, especially our enemies are like.

America's allies understand this and it shows an incredible contrast when you see someone who is one of our most staunch allies, like France's President Sarkozy, making statements like that, Israel showing preference for McCain, while those not our allies, such as the Syrian regime and Lebanese Hezbollah to name just two, overwhelmingly want Obama to win this election.

The contrast there should make people stop and look closely at the reasoning.

Via email from the French Embassy to WUA:

The remarks attributed by the newspaper Haaretz to the President of the French Republic concerning Senator Obama's positions on Iran are groundless. To the contrary, the in-depth discussions between the President of the Republic and Senator Obama on Iran during their meeting in Paris in July demonstrated a broad convergence of views on this issue. President Sarkozy and Senator Obama agree to oppose Iran's development of a military nuclear capability.

(Disclaimer- As of yet I have not received confirmation that the email was legitimately from the French Embassy but felt it important to show the denial anyway until I do receive a reply)

Media Matters 1: The Media is Not Getting The Message

This past weekend was Media Democracy Day in at least three Canadian cities. Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver held day long workshops. Media democracy sounds like an oxymoron, especially in the last few frenetic days of the US election, but the goals of this group appear lofty enough:

Is the mainstream media democratic?

(Your original article here, and rebuttals here, here and here )

I have been reading the ongoing discussion that has arisen from your ill-advised column in the Telegraph when you were embedded with a US unit in Afghanistan.

Nick: You are a fool, a dangerous fool. First, let me assure you, I am NOT an American blogger, although I DO – indeed – write for a few American blogs, (milblogs as well as political sites) as well as have my own site. I also write for an international online news site. ...

Media Matters 3: The CBC is OVER!

It is now official, for me at least. The CBC - affectionately called "the Mother Corp" by some, is now OLD news for me. I am done with them.

The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation is the publicly funded media for Canada. For many, the CBC IS Canada. In many rural areas of the country, CBC radio is the only station they can tune in to; there are no other options.

Over the years, CBC Radio has been an integral part of my life, even to the point of proudly displaying a sticker created by a long ago "Save the CBC" when it was threatened with funding cuts. In this most recent federal election, Stephen Harper (re-elected minority government Prime Minister) caused an uproar - among the merry few - when he talked, again about cutting arts funding, labelling most arts projects "elitists" and "irrelevant to "ordinary Canadians." Loyal 'Mother Corp' fans raised their voices in protest across the land.

My loyalty to the CBC is now over....

And yes, of course there is more. Go to Assoluta Tranquillita to read it here.

"Get in their faces": Your Parents

Just when I thought the Obama campaign couldn't sink any lower? I find this via Little Green Footballs.

They call it "political cynicism". I am speechless....

The Obama campaign’s attempted use of children to influence their parents is absolutely open and blatant. Why doesn’t this outrage people? This is political cynicism of an amazing degree.

Barack Obama | Change We Need | The Talk.

Do’s & Don’ts

Do share your personal reasons for voting for Barack Obama;

Do have confidence — your opinion matters to people who care about you;

Do read up on Barack’s positions on the issues you know matter to them;

Do find a good time when both you and they will be open to a conversation;

Do talk to them in person if you live nearby, or on the phone if you don’t;

Do ask your friends to talk to their parents and grandparents as well;

Don’t worry about knowing everything about policy positions before you have this conversation;

Don’t feel defensive. Stay calm, cool and collected;

Don’t wait until the last minute — it might take a few conversations for you to convince them, so start as early as possible;

Don’t catch them at a bad time — make sure you have their attention and enough time to have a conversation.

Unbelievable. And it gets worse.

Ideas to Get the Conversation Started

Approaching your parents about who they are voting for can be intimidating if you’ve never talked about politics with them before. But this campaign has been built by supporters sharing their stories about what inspires them and why they want to see change in this country. Here are some ideas for ways you can talk to your parents about why you support Barack:

Call or ask in person if they saw the debate and what they thought about it. Tell them why you are voting for Obama and why it’s important to you.

Print out for them information on some issues you know are important.

Share Barack’s speech from the Democratic National Convention or Meet Barack, a video about who Barack Obama is, where he comes from, and what his values are.

Email them and tell them why it’s important to you that they vote for Obama.

Think about their perspective. If they are Republican, or are concerned about Barack’s policies, think about where they are coming from and what makes them think the way that they do.

And they’ve produced a video to go with this outrageous effort:

Go over to LGF and see the rest.I refuse to link to the original on Obama's site. There, they have a form you can fill in to share your experience about the "talk with your parents."

UPDATE: And I almost missed this one, again from LGF. I am not going to give you an excerpt, but go see for yourself here:

Obama Compared America to Nazi Germany

Politics | Mon, Oct 27, 2008 at 5:10:01 pm PST

The audio recording of Barack Obama espousing his socialist philosophy of “redistribution of wealth” is all over the Internet and Fox News today (although most other media outlets are ignoring it), but there’s another disturbing section on that tape that has so far escaped notice.

The link to the audio is here: Chicago Public Radio - Audio Library: Odyssey.

At about 15:30, Obama compares what was going on in the United States during the time of Brown vs. the Board of Education to ... Nazi Germany. Yes, really. Here’s the quote:

“...just to take a, sort of a realist perspective...there’s a lot of change going on outside of the Court, um, that, that judges essentially have to take judicial notice of. I mean you’ve got World War II, you’ve got uh, uh, uh, the doctrines of Nazism, that, that we are fighting against, that start looking uncomfortably similar to what we have going on, back here at home.”

There you have it. America is close to electing a President who compares his own country to Nazi Germany.

EXCLUSIVE: JOE BIDEN BANS YID WITH LID

Fresh off his upsetting interview with CBS3 in Philadelphia and the now famous interview with Barbara West in Orlando, Senator Joe Biden has banned blogger Sammy Benoit, the Yid With Lid, from anymore interviews with the Obama campaign.

"It was an overreaction said the Yid, as soon as I mentioned Marx he flipped out. I wasn't even talking about Karl Marx. I just asked him what his favorite Marx brothers movie was and he got all huffy. He slammed down his hand and said YOU MUST BE KIDDING"

Apparently the Senator from Delaware, mistook Benoit's movie question to the start of a debate of Obama's Redistribute the Wealth Tax Plan.

"So I thought I would Change the Subject," Said Benoit, " So I said Do You like the Three Stooges? And Biden Gets Crazy again. Are you talking about Reid, Pelosi and Obama?" I was stunned I didn't know what to say next. Er, so Senator, I tried, the weather is changing, I bet you the changing Leaves in Delaware must be beautiful"

"DID YOU SAY WEATHER Biden Screamed at me. All this talk of Bill Ayers and the Weather Underground, is a desperate attept to deflect the Issues."

"Biden really lost it when I tried to calm things Down. Senator Biden, I don't mean to upset you. Lets try something new."

"NEW ! DID YOU SAY NEW? Now you are talking about Senator Obama's Socialist and New Party Ties? THATS IT I AM OUT OF HERE!"

"And was it, he left the studio and I am frozen out" said Yid, "I didnt even get to ask him one question."

Why Obama Staffers Are Secretly Worried

From the Daily Beast
hat tip to HH

Publicly, he's acting like he already won. But behind the scenes, Obama's campaign is amassing lawyers and gearing up to counter dirty tactics on election day.

Austin, Texas
By Paul Alexander

This week, Barack Obama has shown clear signs that he is confident he is going to win. But privately, top Obama leadership are still worried that Republicans might be able to pull off another improbable election night victory.
Last week, in closed-to-the-press meetings, Obama officials briefed major donors about their concerns heading into the election’s final stretch. One of those meetings took place in Austin, Texas—a city in the solid red state of Texas that has raised a surprisingly large amount of money for Obama, mostly from the city’s high-tech community.

“The Obama campaign has learned the lessons of 2000 and 2004. On Election Day, lawyers will be everywhere—all the way down to the county level.”
In Texas and other states, Obama officials are preparing for the possibility that polls may be wildly off because of the so-called Bradley effect.
“The Obama officials are very cautious,” says an attendee at the Austin meeting. “They want comfortable margins in place just in case. They are looking at three to six percentage points as a possible Bradley effect. Before they consider a state comfortable, they want it outside the polling margins. They think the Bradley effect could be as large as six—maybe even seven—percentage points, but they don’t really know.”

Another major concern of the campaign is what they consider to be voter suppression. “The Obama leadership believes there is a systematic campaign,” says the attendee, “by the White House and the Justice Department to suppress voter turnout across the country.”

To counteract the Bradley effect and potential voter suppression, the Obama leadership has amassed one of the largest legal teams ever assembled by a presidential campaign. The main goal of the legal team, almost all of them volunteers, is to guarantee ballot security. “The Obama campaign has learned the lessons of 2000 and 2004,” my source says. “On Election Day, lawyers will be everywhere—all the way down to the county level.

Obama officials point to the government’s treatment of ACORN, the nationwide association of community organizations, as an example of possible voter suppression. The campaign has never relied on ACORN for its voter registration drives, according to Obama officials, and is viewed as only one of many venders hired by the campaign. Of the $605 million raised by the Obama campaign so far, only $800,000 has gone to ACORN—a number that could be much larger, and would have been had the campaign relied on it more heavily.

But perhaps the most important asset the Obama campaign has is an army of workers estimated to be as large as 100,000 nationwide. Some paid staffers, mostly volunteers, the workers are being spread out across the country to states the Obama campaign is targeting. For example, 5,000 workers based in Texas—a state Obama doesn’t expect to win—are being relocated to New Mexico, a state Obama believe he can win.

Obama workers will be flooding into other battleground states in the waning days of the presidential race, among them Colorado, Nevada, and Ohio—perhaps even Georgia and Montana. What is impressive about this sizable operation is its very organization. By Election Day, campaign officials believe, they may have the most extensive grass-roots organization of any presidential campaign in history.

OBAMA Got Me A House In Ohio So I Could Vote

College news network Palestra.com has once again put network news stations to shame. Their latest news report show that Obama College staffers have NOT withdrawn their absentee ballots despite the fact that they are not legal residents. They have voted illegally in Ohio. One Bragging on facebook that "Obama got me a house in Ohio." Mmmmmmmmmm.... voter fraud encouraged by the political campaign. Oh wait, this is OHIO, the Secretary of State ALLOWS Illegal voting there. Watch this video below:

ATF Foils Plot To Assassinate Barack Obama and 102 students

What do you expect from skinheads? Sickening. Disgusting. Rabid dogs that should be put down.

Federal agents have disrupted a plot to assassinate Barack Obama and shoot or decapitate dozens of black students in Tennessee, the ATF said Monday.

In court records unsealed Monday, federal agents said they broke up plans to rob a gun store and target a predominantly African-American high school by two neo-Nazi skinheads. Agents said the skinheads did not identify the school by name.

A source in the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives told FOX News that the two skinheads, who were picked up in Crockett County, Tenn., were plotting to shoot 88 black students and decapitate 14 others described as non-whites. The source said officials believe the suspects were planning to attempt an assassination against Obama.

I cannot, for the life of me, understand the sickness that pervades the minds of these skinheads.

Nothing justifies this type of racial hatred or sickness.

The Arizona Republic proudly recommends John McCain for president.

Editorial from The Arizona Republic:

Nowhere else in the country do voters know John McCain like Arizonans know John McCain.

Voters here have sent McCain to Washington, D.C., on their behalf five times since his first election to Congress in 1982. As much as an electorate can, we know this man.

We have seen the irascible McCain. The bawdy and irreverent McCain. And, yes, the temperamental McCain. Likewise, we here in Arizona have seen the former Navy pilot and war hero evolve - slowly and with lots of fits and starts - into a statesman.

We have witnessed John McCain become a leader - not only of a delegation from a fast-growing Southwestern state, but into a national leader with a reassuring habit of stepping to the front when things seemed most difficult.

Nobody in the country knows the Republican presidential candidate better than we do. And no one is better placed to judge whether he would serve honorably and admirably as president of the United States.

We are confident he will. The Arizona Republic proudly recommends John McCain for president.

Regarding foreign policy, no contemporary American statesman is more prepared than McCain to assume the mantles of first diplomat and commander in chief. In the tradition of Harry S. Truman, McCain already has demonstrated a willingness to let the buck of responsibility stop at his desk.

No one elected McCain to stand virtually alone against three administrations over their use of power overseas - against President Reagan's ill-fated decision to send Marines to Lebanon in 1983; against President Clinton's decision to send U.S. troops to Somalia in 1993; and against President George W. Bush's decision 10 years later to send insufficient troops to Iraq. He fought Republicans and Democrats over irresponsibly sending troops into harm's way, and he fought Republicans over their equally irresponsible refusal to send enough troops to do the job. In all three instances, history has proved (too often tragically) that McCain's judgment was right.

Even McCain mischaracterizes his noble willingness to stand up and stand alone. He contends it is the "maverick" in him. Well, he's wrong about that. It is the leader in him.

In truth, the son and grandson of war admirals was never a good fit for the go-along, get-along comity of the U.S. Senate. The nation simply has not had an opportunity to elect a president this well prepared - and this willing - to be a world leader since Dwight Eisenhower.

But as the Iraq war inches slowly toward peaceful resolution, domestic issues, notably the wrenching tumult on Wall Street and the economic woes it heralds, take center stage this election season.

If McCain were to do no more than to serve as a presidential protectorate of the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts, most of which never were made permanent, he would provide a boost to the nation's troubled economy. As the economy lurches and slows, business leaders already envision further drag - and an unnecessarily elongated recession - caused by the heavy anchor of higher taxes, should the Bush-era tax cuts be repealed.

The same concerns apply to the future of American free trade, a cornerstone of the nation's longest-ever period of economic expansion and wealth production. McCain is a stalwart advocate of free trade, while the rhetoric of his Democratic opponent strongly suggests to us that he is not.

Which brings us to our concerns regarding Democratic candidate Barack Obama.

No one will dispute that the Illinois senator's candidacy constitutes a historic moment in the life of this nation. In addition to his demonstrated capacity to help heal the greatest American wound, its racial divide, Obama has inspired millions of Americans to see anew the value of public service.

Still, in terms of experience, Obama is barely four years removed from the Illinois State Legislature. And even that thin record in public office is obscured to us by the senator's proclivity for voting "present," often on knotty issues like abortion. For a candidate seeking the world's greatest political challenge, Obama presents an extraordinarily lightly traveled trail.

Considering what we do know of his record, it is hard to envision Obama tamping down even the wildest leftist aspirations of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid.

Obama's plan to reduce the taxes of "95 percent" of working families is most troubling. As many as 44 percent of "taxpayers" today pay no federal income tax at all. What Obama in fact is proposing is a direct transfer of wealth from top earners to those on the lower rungs. In short, he seeks to use the tax system as a revived form of welfare.

John McCain joins hands with Barack Obama and other Democrats on numerous important issues. They are scarcely apart in their personal judgments about how to resolve illegal immigration.

They speak virtually in one voice regarding the environment and the dangers of global warming. But McCain's support for a wide array of energy sources, including expanding domestic-oil production and building nuclear-power plants, is considerably more credible than Obama's.

McCain speaks with a voice of credible authority.

It is not as mellifluous a voice as Obama's. But it is a voice we in Arizona know well. It is one we trust.

The Republic recommends John McCain for president of the United States.

I love living in AZ.

Another News Station Banned From Interviewing Joe Biden

First a Florida interviewer, Barbara West, asks Joe Biden questions he doesn't like, refusing to simply toss him softball questions and the Barack Obama campaign cancels his wife Jill Biden's scheduled interview, then refuses any more interviews with WFTV.

Now, looks like a local station in Pennsylvania gets the same treatment. H/T Malkin for the video below.

Obama’s Marxist Roots Found in Liberation Theology

One of the most read articles published by Faultline USA this past year is Obama’s Marxist Liberation Theology Church, which is being republished today here in its entirety.

Faultline USA was on the forefront of the successful battle to move the Brite Divinity School Jeremiah Wright award ceremony from the Campus of Texas Christian University back in March. Faultline USA has written several extensive articles about Jeremiah Wright, which can be found by using the Google Faultline USA search box in the right side-bar.

 Obama’s Marxist Liberation Theology Church

The best lie is a little pig that’s always hidden between several fluffy layers of truth and covered with a lot of lipstick and charisma.

This is a follow-up to yesterday’s article originally posted on Right Truth and here “What Obama’s Church Preaches”

Note: This article isn’t so much about religion as it is about the politics of political revolution as fomented in all Liberation Theology churches.

Read also the post by Church and State: Obama's Pastor Embarrasses Entire Congregation. Be sure to View the video where “Rev. Dr. Jeremiah Wright, Barak Obama's pastor, went on Hannity & Colmes last night to respond to claims that his church is a black separatist congregation.”

Obama’s pastor, Rev. Dr. Jeremiah Wright, continued to evade Hannity while he hammered away asking again and agin if Hannity had ever read James H. Cone, one of the primary authors of Black Liberation Theology.

Oddly enough, I just happen to have several of Cone’s works on hand. Here’s just a little from Cone’s classic book A Black Theology of Liberation (Twentieth Anniversary Edition):

Emphasis added by me:

The definition of Jesus as black is crucial for christology if we truly believer in his continued presence today. Taking our clue from the historical Jesus who is pictured in the New Testament as the Oppressed One, what else, except blackness, could adequately tell us the meaning of his presence today? Any statement about Jesus today that fails to consider blackness as the decisive factor about his person is a denial of the New Testament message. The life, death, and resurrection of Jesus reveal that he is the man for others, disclosing to them what is necessary for their liberation from oppression. If this is true, then Jesus Christ must be black so that blacks can know that their liberation is his liberation. . .

The black Christ is he who threatens the structure of evil as seen in white society, rebelling against it, thereby becoming the embodiment of what the black community knows that it must become. . .

To be a disciple of the black Christ is to become black with him. Looting, burning, or the destruction of white property are not primary concerns. Such matters can only be decided by the oppressed themselves who are seeking to develop their images of the black Christ. . .

Whites do not recognize what is happening, and they are thus unable to deal with it. For most whites in power, the black community is a nuisance –something to be considered only when the natives get restless. But what white America fails to realize is the explosive nature of the kingdom. Although its beginning is small, it will have far-reaching effects not only on the black community but on the white community as well. Now is the time to make decisions about loyalties, because soon it will be too late. Shall we or shall we not join the black revolutionary kingdom?

An excellent overview of the grave dangers of Liberation Theology was written in 1984 by Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger (Pope Benedict XVI).

Here are some of the important points Ratzinger makes about Liberation Theology:

1. Liberation Theology has it center of power in Latin America and in African Theology, but is found in many Christian denominations throughout the Third World.
2. Liberation Theology is a new interpretation of Christian reality.
3. Liberation Theology is radically Marxist. “ . . .the world must be interpreted in terms of the class struggle and that the only choice is between capitalism and Marxism.”
4. Liberation Theology thrives on perpetuating class struggle. The only people of the Church are those who participate in class struggle.
5. Liberation Theology is a theology of bloody political revolution. All of Christian reality is reduced to politico-social liberation praxis (action).
6. Liberation Theology rejects traditional scriptural interpretations. “The experience of the "community" determines the understanding and the interpretation of Scripture. . . Ultimately, what is normative for interpretation is not historical research but the hermeneutic of history experienced in the community or the political group.”
7. Liberation Theology makes the Bible subject to a Marxist view of history. “The "historicality" of the Bible must justify its absolute dominance and thus legitimize the' transition to materialist-marxist philosophy, in which history has taken over the role of God. . . historical criticism has loosed Scripture from the traditional interpretation, which now appears to be unscientific.
8. Liberation Theology is a threat to the faith of the Christian Church.

Here Ratzinger analyzes some of the central concepts of Liberation Theology:

Faith: Jesus' experience of God is radically historical. "His faith is transformed into fidelity." Thus faith is fundamentally replaced by "fidelity to history". . .

Hope is interpreted as "confidence in the.future" and as working for the future and thus is subordinated once more to the history of class conflict. . .

Love consists in the "option for the poor"; i.e., it coincides with opting for the class struggle. . .

Kingdom of God: “ . .the Kingdom must not be understood in a spiritualist or universalist manner, not in the sense of an abstract eschatological eventuality. It must be understood in partisan terms and with a view to praxis. The meaning of the Kingdom can only be defined by reference to the praxis of Jesus, not theoretically: it means working at the historical reality that surrounds us in order to transform it into the Kingdom.”

Overcoming Dualism “Here we must mention another basic idea of a particular postconciliar theology which has led in this direction. People said that after the Council every dualism must be overcome: the dualism of body and soul, of natural and supernatural, of this world and the world beyond, of then and now. Once these supposed dualisms had been eliminated, it only remained to work for a kingdom to be realized in present history and in politicoeconomic reality. This meant, however, that one had ceased to work for the benefit of people in this present time and had begun to destroy the present in the interests of a supposed future: thus the real dualism had broken loose.”

Note: The above explanation of overcoming dualism certainly gives us some insight into the suicidal nature of leftist thought!

Death and Resurrection: “ . . . Man has taken over God's gesture — this manifests the whole transformation of the biblical message in an almost tragic way . . .”

Eucharist is interpreted as a celebration of liberation in the sense of politico-messianic hope and praxis.

The word redemption is largely replaced by liberation, which is seen, against the background of history and the class struggle, as a process of progressive liberation.

Action is truth “. . . The only true orthodoxy is therefore orthopraxy.”

Ratzinger’s Summary

In trying to arrive at an overall evaluation it must be said that, if one accepts the fundamental assumptions which underlie liberation theology, it cannot be denied that the whole edifice has an almost irresistible logic. By adopting the position of biblical criticism and of a hermeneutics that grows through experience, on the one hand, and of the marxist analysis of history, on the other, liberation theologians have succeeded in creating a total picture of the Christian reality, and this total view seems to respond fully both to the claims of science and to the moral challenges of our time, urging people to make Christianity an instrument of concrete world transformation; it seems to have united Christianity, in this way, with all the "progressive forces" of our era. One can understand, therefore, that this new interpretation of Christianity should have exercised an increasing fascination over theologians, priests and religious, particularly against the background of Third World problems. To say "no" to it must seem to them to be a flight from reality as well as a denial of reason and morality. On the other hand, if one considers how radical this reinterpretation of Christianity is, it is all the more pressing to find the right answer to the challenge which it presents. We shall only survive this crisis if we succeed in making the logic of faith visible in an equally compelling manner and in presenting it as a logic of reality, i.e., manifesting the concrete force of a better answer attested in lived experience. Since it is so, since thought and experience, interpretation and realization, are equally called for, it is a task for the whole Church. Theology alone is insufficient, Church authority alone is insufficient. Since the phenomenon of liberation theology indicates a lack of conversion in the Church, a lack of radical faith, only an increase in conversion and faith can arouse and elicit those theological insights and those decisions on the part of the shepherds which will give an answer to the magnitude of the question.

The National Republican Trust PAC Hits Obama On Jeremiah Wright

An issue that Barack Obama himself admitted was a "legitimate political issue" is also an issue the John McCain campaign has not taken advantage of.

"I think that people were legitimately offended by some of the comments that he had made in the past," he said. "The fact that he's my former pastor I think makes it a legitimate political issue."

That issue is Jeremiah Wright, Former pastor to Barack Obama, whom Obama called "like family" and a man that has spewed some of the most vile, anti-American, racist hatred, from his pulpit, while Barack Obama sat there for over 16 years, listening.

After the videos of Wright spewing his "God Damn America" remarks, went viral online and was seen from coast to coast on television, Barack Obama denounced the words, but refused to denounce the man and it wasn't until Wright made the rounds with interviews and publicly said Barack Obama was only denouncing Wright's rhetoric because of "political expediency", that Obama finally distanced himself from Jeremiah Wright himself and shortly after Obama resigned his membership from the Trinity Church.

Originally Obama denied having heard Wright's controversial remarks, then he later made a speech where he finally admitted he did.

Now that we are caught up, we see that finally, someone is bringing Wright into the campaign.

The National Republican Trust PAC is spending $2.5 million on an ad campaign, (video below) to be aired in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida which hits on Barack Obama's close admitted relationship with Jeremiah Wright..

.

Text of AD:

For 20 years Barack Obama followed a preacher of hate and said nothing is Wright raged against our country.

[Clip of Rev. Wright:] "Not God Bless America, God Damn America . . . US of KKKA!"

[Quote of Obama appears on screen:] "I don’t think my church is particularly controversial."

He built his power base in Wright's church.

Wright was his mentor, adviser and close friend.

For 20 years Obama never complained until he ran for President.

Barack Obama. Too radical. Too risky.

[Update]A reminder of Jeremiah Wright's type of rhetoric that Obama sat and listened to all those years in the video below:

One Hanging Display is 'Spirit of Halloween' and Another Is Racist?

The other day I showed a few photos from Halloween displays and asked whether hanging displys were racist or just hatefilled.

One of the displays I showed on October 24, 2008, was of a mannequin dressed to look like Sarah Palin, hanging from a rope.

Another one was of a black man hanging.

Today I see a report about the Sarah Hanging Display and the comparison in reactions between the two displays is astounding when you think of it.

Here is the Sarah display:

Here is the other display:

Now let us take a look at the reactions for comparison.

Greenfield, Wisconsin where the black mannequin was displayed, hanging, over a graveyard scene:

A dark mannequin figure was hanging from a tree in front of a Greenfield home. Some members of the African-American community complained it was insensitive and had racial overtones.

The homeowner has taken that figure down, but neighbors didn’t see this as a racial issue.

“It didn’t really strike me as anything unusual. It just looked like part of the graveyard scene,” neighbor Julie Salmeron said.

The owner says she never intended to offend anyone. The homeowner said the family hung the same mannequin last year for about six weeks without a single complaint and she was surprised by the negative attention it received this year.

West Hollywood, California, where the Hanging Sarah display is:

A Halloween decoration showing a mannequin dressed as vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin hanging by a noose from the roof of a West Hollywood home is drawing giggles from some passers-by and gasps of outrage from others.

The mannequin is dressed in brunet wig, glasses and a red business suit. Another mannequin dressed as John McCain emerges from a flaming chimney.

Chad Michael Morisette, who lives in the house, told CBS 2 News that drivers and bus passengers have been stopping to snap pictures of the macabre scene.

Morisette says the effigy would be out of bounds at any other time of year, but it's within the spirit of Halloween.

So one display was removed because some people found it "racially offensive" and the other figure is simply the "spirit of Halloween."

Anyone else seeing an incredible double standard here?

Is one more offensive than the other?

Code Pink Retreats From Berkeley

Many might remember the disgusting actions of the Berkeley city council when they tried to call the US Marines unwelcome and unwanted in the town of Berkeley, to which cause a firestorm of support to show up, enmasse, for the Marines until the Council decided to rescind and reword their resolution.

Another cancer in Berkeley was the Code Pink as they harassed the Marine recruiting office, chaining themselves to the doors, vandalizing their building and spewing their venomous hatred, trying to force the Marines to leave, again, they failed as more support showed up for the Marines.

(right- Melanie Morgan faces off with Code Pinko member Medea Benjamin-left)

Melanie Morgan, Chairman of the pro-troop organization Move America Forward sent me an email showing that the Code Pinkos of Berkeley are leaving!!!!!!

We hate to gloat, but . . . .
Code Pink, the leftists anti-American hippies who dress in Pepto Bismol pink and who tried to run the Marines out of Berkeley, have retreated. We at Move America Forward lead the charge against them when they attacked our Marines. Now Code Pink is having a “going out of business sale.”

From Code Pink:

We must close our CodePINK office, 1248 Solano Ave., Albany. Come to our EVERYTHING MUST GO Moving Sale from noon until 7:00pm Tuesday Oct 28th thru Thursday Oct 30th!

All the office furniture, display cabinets, tschotkes, and all the wonderful outdoor furniture and fixings as well - not to mention CodePINK memorabilia and merchandise - will be on sale!

Come get your treasure and help us close this part of our chapter.

This is what I call good news to awaken to on a Monday morning!!!

Thanks to Melanie, Move America Forward, every veteran, family member and friend that showed up in support of the U.S. Marines in Berkeley for everything they did and their consistent show of patriotism.

To the Code Pink chapter in Berkeley- Good riddance to bad rubbish!

(Audio) Obama the Marxist

Crossposted from STACLU!

Update II: For those in the comments saying only Republicans care about redistrubtion of wealth, and that the poor folks who will vote for Obama want it and we are only helping Obama by exposing him as a marxist....Americans Oppose Redistributing Wealth 84% To 13%!

Update: People in the comments are asking for the original source, skeptical of the editing on this clip. Listen to it for yourself, he said what he said...no creative editing or missing context. Here is the original. Oh, and while you are at it, here is another clip of Obama stating that the Constitution is a flawed document.

For everyone that thought Obama was taken out of context, listen very closely. In a 2001 Chicago Public Radio Interview Obama is discussing the best way to bring about a Redistribution of Wealth.

If you look at the victories and failures of the civil rights movement and its litigation strategy in the court. I think where it succeeded was to invest formal rights in previously dispossessed people, so that now I would have the right to vote. I would now be able to sit at the lunch counter and order as long as I could pay for it I'd be o.k. But, the Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth, and of more basic issues such as political and economic justice in society. To that extent, as radical as I think people try to characterize the Warren Court, it wasn't that radical. It didn't break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the founding fathers in the Constitution, at least as its been interpreted and Warren Court interpreted in the same way, that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties. Says what the states can't do to you. Says what the Federal government can't do to you, but doesn't say what the Federal government or State government must do on your behalf, and that hasn't shifted and one of the, I think, tragedies of the civil rights movement was, um, because the civil rights movement became so court focused I think there was a tendancy to lose track of the political and community organizing and activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalition of powers through which you bring about redistributive change. In some ways we still suffer from that.

I'm not optimistic about bringing about major redistributive change through the courts. You know, the institution just isn't structured that way.

Jeff Goldstein summarizes:

In Obama’s America, we’ll finally be able to break free of the “constraints that were placed by the founding fathers in the Constitution” — and in so doing, achieve “social justice” through “redistributive change.”

McCain should take these clips and run with them. If he highlights them the media will be forced to play them, and Obama will be pressured as well.

Update: Humorous, but scary and appropriately on topic. Will this be the new National Anthem?

The American Democrat Party: Culture of Death

I have been saying this for years and folks just laughed and some just laughed it off. Some said that this too shall pass. To me, those that laughed for whatever reason are still in a state of insanity due to their purposeful neglect.

Recently, J.R. Dunn wrote a column entitled, "Democide". In that piece, in part:
"Over the past fifty years, something on the order of a half-million Americans have been killed by liberal policies."

That line appears to have gotten to people, as it should. Among the many welcome comments on my piece on Christopher Buckley, a number both on AT and elsewhere referred to that statement -- my contention that liberalism is not only a failed ideology, but a deadly one, an ideology that kills, and kills in large numbers. Many of the comments called it "incredible", "unbelievable" and "shocking".

That's in no way difficult to understand. Achieving awareness of the lethal nature of liberalism's excesses is much the same as coming to realize that your friendly, familiar neighborhood is actually overrun by vampires. [...]
Most of you that know me know that I am undertaking a project that proves the above beyond a reasonable doubt. The proponents of American Liberalism, no matter their stature in life and position are directly responsible for not only killing millions dying of Malaria, they have murdered entire generations of "voters"...they died of abortion. They are directly responsible for the deaths and wounding of American and Allied Forces in several wars and Police Actions, Iraq and Afghanistan being in the present tense.

I loathe them all. They disgust me. They cannot be trusted. Their ideologies have been attempted in many Nations and those principles of which they stand resulted in entire populations to be enslaved to the governments under which they lived and live and those governments have failed time and time again. Their system does not work. Period. It never has and it never will. Slavery - that is what the Democrat Party of the USA is all about. A historical search will bear that out, especially before, during and after the American Civil War.

But, that won't stop them. It is all about Power to these people. Nothing else matters. If our Troops are killed, maimed or wounded, they could care less. I have seen it first hand. If they can enslave the American Population, the more Power they will have.

Barack Obama is the Shining Example of the Culture of Death. He supports infanticide, no matter how he tries to spin it. He voted FOR infanticide and that is a matter of public record. He and his Goons can deny it all they want to...facts are facts and the record is the record. SPIN THAT.

The Vatican has declared the American Democrat Party as the Culture of Death. Joe Biden has been practically excommunicated from The Church. Nancy Pelosi was heavily and handily chastised by her Archbishop over her rewriting Vatican principles and history. Nancy now knows that history didn't start the day she was hatched.

The American Democrat Party is directly responsible for the MILLIONS of deaths following their cowardly retreat from Vietnam. They are directly responsible for American deaths in Vietnam. That is a historical fact. They can deny all they want to and spin as much as they want to but I bet they have a hard time explaining it all when the demons come.
[...] It will come as no news to readers of this site that liberal policies tend to fail. But some of them fail catastrophically. And when they do, they kill. They kill in large numbers. They have been killing for decades, and they will continue to kill for as long as we allow it.

The process is called democide, the murder of a populace by its own government. It can occur through malice, or indifference, or through incompetence. Almost always, it is instigated by an ideology -- fascism, Nazism, communism... and liberalism. According to Dr. R.J. Rummel, the sole scholar of democide (you'd think there would be droves of researchers working on such a critical topic -- but you'd be wrong), 262 million people have died by such means over the past century. Against that number, a half-million is a bagatelle, a drop in the bucket.

But it happened in our country. It happened in America. [...]
We can stop it and we can change things but we have to actually ACT and DO something and hopefully, we do it via the ballot box and getting our Vertical Alignment all squared away with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

The DNC Rift Tsunami

The Democrat Party is falling apart but one would not know that reading the Lame Stream Media. However, those of us that comprise the Main Street Media are hearing a different song. It is the Death Knell Dirge of the DNC.

Barack Hussein Obama did Hillary wrong and she isn't about to forget or forgive, no matter the public appearances of both Hillary and Bill and their subsequent rhetoric in support of Obama. If anyone truly believes that the Clinton's are supporting Obama, they are certainly lost in space.

When I was building the blog for the Stop Her Now Campaign, called the Hot Rodham Blog, we spent hours and hours and hours researching the Clinton Clan and we got to know them very well. They are not about to forgive or forget the railroading they received from the DNC leadership, George Soros or Barack Hussein Obama. Not by a long shot. The Democrat Convention was a sure-fire give-away.

Please recall that when Hillary saw that she was going to walk away from the Convention with the nomination, The Big Nod, she realized what that would mean. I have to give her credit. She quickly went to a microphone and asked to not have the usual voting procedures, thus bypassing what was to come. When reviewing the videos, one can hear a vast majority booing her decision. Nancy Pelosi was quick to ask for those that approve and not once did she allow for those that did not approve to have their say. That is a typical maneuver of the Party of Intolerance...if you disagree, you have no say.

Sound familiar?

We saw decades of Identity Politics come crashing down and the rift is growing. However, don't believe me. Believe this; from the American Thinker, Steven M. Warshawsky brings us the following: Signs Pointing To A McCain Victory
[...] This is the "narrative" that the mainstream media has been imposing on this year's presidential campaign almost from the start. Remember how quickly the MSM jumped off the Hillary Clinton bandwagon and onto Obama's? Remember how annoyed and angry they became as Hillary refused to concede the nomination? The MSM decided that electing the nation's first black, socialist, anti-American president was politically and historically more important (and, for them, more exciting) than electing the nation's first female, socialist, patriotic president. And they are doing everything they can to achieve this goal.

Well, there is another story out there that the MSM refuses to address. A huge story. One that could, and I think will, significantly affect the outcome of this race. I'm referring to the widespread phenomenon of registered Democrats openly supporting John McCain. There are numerous "Democrats for McCain" type organizations. There are numerous websites and blogs written by Democrats touting McCain's candidacy. There are pro-McCain grassroots efforts being led by Democrats. And we all know friends or relatives who are Democrats, who voted for John Kerry in 2004, and who are no fans of President Bush - but who are going to vote for John McCain this year.

Yet, surprise surprise, the mainstream media is not talking about these voters, not talking about the real rift that is occurring within the ranks of the Democratic Party. Needless to say, if a similar rift were occurring in the Republican Party, it would be treated as the major story that it is. (Indeed, as such stories about the political fault lines in the Republican Party have been treated in the recent past.) [...]
By now, all we have been hearing of late is the "rift" between McCain and Palin. This is near laughable but mostly ignorant. The morphing of the stories are woefully skewed with the wishful thinking more than obvious. Just remember, that which happens to or is caused by the DNC that can be "bad news" is quickly shrugged off somewhere else. It is their trademark.

Another thing that the pollsters are "forgetting" is the Joe The Plumber voters. Another aspect is the NRA. Another aspect is the Angry White Man. Most everyone with half a brain can see the race baiting going on by Barack in that 90 to 95 percent of the "African-Americans" are voting for Barack BECAUSE he is black and ONLY because he is black, even though he is NEITHER black or white. He is a fraud and come election day, the fraud will not be victorious.

If there is any election racism in this nation it is on the part of the black community as stirred up by Obama, Sharpton and Jackson. That much is plainly obvious.

More at Memeorandum...the laughs I got from there are truly spirit lifting...

Shock and Awe: The Good People

If you look back over the last several articles posted here at Radarsite they all have one thing in common: they are all expressing the author's shock and awe. Shock that we can actually be this close to real disaster; and awe at the enormity of the forces pushes us toward this end. Nothing, I repeat, nothing, that we can do or say seems capable of altering this fateful plunge.

We, all of us writers and bloggers, have tried absolutely everything. We have enumerated scandal after scandal, all to no avail. We have tried but we can't do it. We cannot break out of this iron shell of denial, deceit and disinformation. It has become all too apparent now that we, the writers, are not going to be able to stop this rush to national ruin. Our only hope now lies with the people. All those regular people out there who may have never read a political blog or studied the Koran. All those people whose only access to the news and opinion has come from their regular in-the-tank-leftist media. These are the only people who can save us now. These good everyday people are our very last hope.

But thankfully, there is some precedent for this hope in our shared history. There have indeed been times when the people have spoken and the polls and the pundits were monumentally discredited and humiliated. It can happen. And it can happen again if these American voters sense something amiss, something in a candidate that just doesn't add up, some vague feelings of distrust or unarticulated suspicion that give them just enough pause to hold back that precious vote.

There is an unknown and unquantifiable element in the American psyche perhaps best characterized as good old-fashioned Yankee common sense. The pundits of course despise this notion. Because if it is true, it negates all of their profound pronouncements and their erudite predictions. It brings into question everything they have built their reputations on.

As much as I loathe the thought of it, I predict that nothing that any writer could possibly come out with in this next week will make a damn bit of difference to those poll numbers. Nothing. No matter how terrible or bizarre.

But on that one day, that one particular Tuesday, the American people will speak and what they might actually say could still shock the world. - rg

Obama Supporters Vandalize 25 Gainesville Homes Of McCain Supporters

H/T HillBuzz

Some real class by Barack Obama supporters.....the pictures say it all.

Language alert in spray painted messages on homes and other places.

More photos found at BVLI.

Twenty-five residents of a Gainesville neighborhood woke up this morning to discover their homes had been spray-painted with an obscene comment about the 2008 presidential race. Several businesses were hit as well.

“This is clear voter intimidation,” Corey A. Stewart, At-Large Chairman of the Prince William Board of County Supervisors, said. “The residents targeted by these hoodlums all had McCain for President yard signs in their front yards.”

“Having your home defaced with obscenity because of political beliefs is a hate crime” Stewart said, “This is terrorizing the community.”

“Voter intimidation will not be tolerated in Prince William County. The residents notified the police. I am asking our Commonwealth’s Attorney to investigate. I will seek state and federal investigations as well. Prince William County must be safe for freedom of speech. If we can catch the reprobate who did this, we’ll prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.”

Stewart added: “We’ve had ACORN and other nuts kicking around down here in Prince William for weeks. I suppose this was bound to happen eventually. But we won’t stand for it.”

Stay classy Obamabots!!!!!

Zogby: 'Things are trending back for McCain'

In the last three days, Barack Obama's 12 point lead has dropped to five points and according to pollster John Zogby "Things are trending back for McCain. His numbers are rising and Obama's are dropping on a daily basis. There seems to be a direct correlation between this and McCain talking about the economy."

Obama's lead among voters making less than $35,000 per year remains substantial at a little over 70 percent. But McCain, who had previously scored well only with the highest income brackets, now holds slight leads among voters in all income groups starting at $35,000 and above.

"You've got to think that it is tax-and-spend that concerns them. Is McCain starting to connect with the middle class?" Zogby said.

Obama still had solid, if slightly diminished, leads among two important groups which could play pivotal roles in the November 4 election. Among independents he had a 14 point lead, down from a peak of 29 points. Women also still backed Obama by a 14-point margin, down from 20 points late last week.

McCain, who once had a 4-point deficit among male voters, now has a 4-point lead at 48-44 percent. And whites back McCain by a 12-point margin, up from 6 points on Friday.

This type of drop for Obama and rise for McCain over the last week might be one reason why John McCain feels confident enough to "guarantee victory" in his latest interview with NBC's “Meet the Press”.

Obama Campaign Workers Pull Their Illegal Registration And Ballots In Ohio

A little background:

Ohio has seen an ongoing problem with people registering to vote in Ohio that were not eligible to vote in Ohio and Palestra.net has been covering this story for weeks as evidenced by the video below where prosecutor Ron O'Brien explains the situation, specifically about a number people listed at one address, registering to vote and even voting early, that were not eligible to vote.

Yesterday it was reported that after being warned by O'Brien, that violating the permanent-residency rules was a felony, Obama campaign staffers issued a letter asking the Franklin County elections board to pull their registrations and ballots from the voter rolls.

Thirteen campaign workers for Barack Obama yesterday yanked their voter registrations and ballots in Ohio after being warned by a prosecutor that temporary residents can't vote in the battleground state.

A dozen staffers - including Obama Ohio spokeswoman Olivia Alair and James Cadogan, who recently joined Team Obama - signed a form letter asking the Franklin County elections board to pull their names from the rolls.

The letter - a copy of which was obtained by palestra.net, a Fox News affiliate - came a day after prosecutor Ron O'Brien publicly urged out-of-state campaign workers for both Obama and John McCain to "examine your conscience" before the elections board beings begins opening absentee ballots today.

Earlier in the week, O'Brien spoke with lawyers for both camps and urged them to make sure their staffs met permanent-residency rules, or face possible felony charges.

(screenshot of video from Palestra.net)

Video of the report, showing the letters, can be found at palestra.net.

Palestra.net has also received a statement from Isaac Baker, from the Obama campaign after trying to get a comment from Olivia Alair (another spokesperson who withdrew a ballot), in response:

Hi Shelby,

Olivia forwarded me your inquiry. Here’s our response.

“The campaign is confident that staff in the state working for the party and our Presidential ticket intend to follow the law and its requirements in his or her particular personal circumstances. To the extent that there has been any uncertainty or confusion, we are working with staff to assure that any questions they have are answered and that they will proceed within the rules." --Aaron Pickrell, Ohio State Director, Obama Campaign

Thanks, Isaac Baker

They have also asked the Board of Elections in Franklin County about hundreds of additional names on their list of out-of-state staffers that have not withdrawn their registrations as of yet and are awaiting reply.

Update on Military Absentee Ballot Issues in VA

From Knee Deep in the Hooah! comes this:

The good news to this story is the issues are being dealt with and it looks like the ballots will be counted after all.

I am pleased with what I read and it sounds like this group is not just counting on the problem being taken care of — they plan on following through and keeping a careful watch.

The following article excerpt is from The Atlantic:

…The problem is that the Fairfax County government had originally interpreted Virginia law to require all Federal Write-In Absentee ballots to have a witness’ signature, printed name and address on the Federal Write-In Absentee Ballot. However, the underlying Virginia law only requires this witness signature, printed name and address if they are taking advantage of the special Virginia provision that allows the Federal Write-In Absentee Ballot to ALSO serve as the absentee ballot application. Because that’s different from what the federal Voting Assistance Guide says, hundreds of Federal Write-In Absentee Ballots received to date were potentially going to be rejected.

The Socialist Party Roots of Obama's Tax Plan

Socialist Party Roots of Obama's Tax Plan

When Senator McCain called Senator Obama's Tax Plan, socialist, he was only partially right. Not only is his tax plan socialist, SENATOR OBAMA IS A SOCIALIST, AND THAT IS WHAT GUIDED THE CREATION OF HIS ECONOMIC PLAN.

The Story of Obama's membership in the Chicago Democratic Socialist Party (and the New Party its spawned) is not like other Obama Mysteries, like the birth certificate issue. With the Senator's Socialist ties there is CLEAR UNDENIABLE Evidence available with a little search engine "elbow grease." Since I started reporting on this last may, we have been sending this info to the Media, including conservative media. It still is ignored.
The fact is that Senator Obama was an active member of the Chicago Democratic Socialist Party and this is where his "income redistribution tax plan evolved from:

On their website the Democratic Socialist of America (DSA) has a description of their political perspective and a preview of the Senator's Tax Plan, called Where We Stand. It says, in part,

We are socialists because we reject an international economic order sustained by private profit, alienated labor, race and gender discrimination, environmental destruction, and brutality and violence in defense of the status quo.

We are socialists because we share a vision of a humane international social order based both on democratic planning and market mechanisms to achieve equitable distribution of resources, meaningful work, a healthy environment, sustainable growth, gender and racial equality, and non-oppressive relationships.

According to its newsletter called the New Ground, Senator Barack Obama attended at least a few meetings of the Chicago Chapter of this group in 1996. And from the way he was described in the newsletter he "talked the talk" and "walked the walk"

Military Prevented From Voting In Virginia

And the insanity continues. When I found this - on A Soldier's Perspective here, and From My Position....here, I almost couldn't believe it. But both those sites are active duty soldiers, so you KNOW they have it right. Read what they say, and then do what NEEDS to be done, NOW!:

CJ Military Prevented From Voting In Virginia

October 22nd, 2008 by CJ

The Fairfax County Registrar—and possibly other Registrars in Virginia—is rejecting most Federal Write-in Absentee Ballots (FWAB) cast by our men and women in uniform.

The FWAB is a federally mandated write-in ballot that allows military servicemembers and their dependents to cast an absentee ballot when they have not received a ballot before the election. It is a safety net that allows a servicemember to vote even if the mail truck hasn't reached his or her remote base in Iraq or Afghanistan in time to cast a regular absentee ballot.

Why is the Fairfax Registrar rejecting these ballots? The Registrar states that the witness who signs the envelope containing the FWAB must include his or her address—but most of the ballots don't include the witness' address.

Virginia law does not require a witness address for any other type of absentee ballot. So, for example, a Virginia resident attending college out of state does not need to include her witness' address on her absentee ballot envelope. But the Fairfax County Registrar is holding servicemembers, including those currently defending their country in war zones, to a much more exacting standard, requiring the witnesses who sign their FWABs to include their address.

To make matters worse, the Federal form (SF-186A) that is used for the FWAB does not have a space for witnesses to include their address. And the Department of Defense's official Voting Assistance Guide, which it provides to servicemembers as an instruction manual for casting votes while overseas, does not tell servicemembers that they must include an address for their witness. The servicemember would thus have no way of knowing of this requirement.

Federal law does not allow this type of disparate treatment of servicemembers. The Uniform and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voter Act (UOCAVA), 42 U.S.C. § 1973ff-2, requires states to process FWABs "in the manner provided by law for absentee ballots in the State involved." (emphasis added). In other words, the FWAB must be treated like any other absentee ballot under state law and may not be subject to more restrictive requirements. Yet that is precisely what is being done here.

Investigations Started Into Whether Government Computers Were Used To Dig Dirt On Joe The Plumber

(Cartoon compliments of Americans for Limited Government)

Within days of Wurzelbacher aka Joe The Plumber hitting the national stage after Barack Obama came to his neighborhood and he asked Obama about his tax plan, to which Obama said the words heard around the world now about "spreading the wealth" aka wealth redistribution, information started coming out about Joe Wurzelbacher and now there are investigations into whether Government computers were used to dig up dirt on Joe, according to the Columbus Dispatch.

Public records requested by The Dispatch disclose that information on Wurzelbacher's driver's license or his sport-utility vehicle was pulled from the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles database three times shortly after the debate.

Information on Wurzelbacher was accessed by accounts assigned to the office of Ohio Attorney General Nancy H. Rogers, the Cuyahoga County Child Support Enforcement Agency and the Toledo Police Department.

It has not been determined who checked on Wurzelbacher, or why. Direct access to driver's license and vehicle registration information from BMV computers is restricted to legitimate law enforcement and government business.

If it is found during the investigation that the information was accessed illegally, it is a criminal offense:

The attorney general's office is investigating if the access of Wuzelbacher's BMV information through the office's Ohio Law Enforcement Gateway computer system was unauthorized, said spokeswoman Jennifer Brindisi.

"We're trying to pinpoint where it came from," she said. The investigation could become "criminal in nature," she said. Brindisi would not identify the account that pulled the information on Oct. 16.

Records show it was a "test account" assigned to the information technology section of the attorney general's office, said Department of Public Safety spokesman Thomas Hunter.

Also being investigated is information pulled from the Cuyahoga County Child Support Enforcement Agency, even though there is no "child-support cases involving Wurzelbacher," and the State Highway Patrol is asking why the Toledo police pulled information on Wurzelbacher within 48 hours after the third presidential debate where Wurzelbacher, his question to Obama and Obama's answer was spoken about, at length.

It is a real pity that an everyday "Joe" cannot ask a presidential candidate that came to his own driveway, a question about policy without having his life turned into national fodder, instead of the candidate's answer being the issue in the spotlight.

A real shame.

Video Added- Obama Campaign Cuts Off WFTV Because They Didn't Throw 'Softball' Questions To Biden

Video added of Interview:

Joe Biden and the Barack Obama campaign didn't like the fact they were not thrown 'softball' questions, by WFTV, in a recent interview with Joe Biden, so they canceled the following interview with Jill Biden and do not plan on allowing WFTV any more interviews.

WFTV-Channel 9's Barbara West conducted a satellite interview with Sen. Joe Biden on Thursday. A friend says it's some of the best entertainment he's seen recently. What do you think?

West wondered about Sen. Barack Obama's comment, to Joe the Plumber, about spreading the wealth. She quoted Karl Marx and asked how Obama isn't being a Marxist with the "spreading the wealth" comment.

"Are you joking?" said Biden, who is Obama's running mate. "No," West said.

West later asked Biden about his comments that Obama could be tested early on as president. She wondered if the Delaware senator was saying America's days as the world's leading power were over.

"I don't know who's writing your questions," Biden shot back.

Biden so disliked West's line of questioning that the Obama campaign canceled a WFTV interview with Jill Biden, the candidate's wife.

According to Laura K. McGinnis, Central Florida communications director for the Obama campaign, "This cancellation is non-negotiable, and further opportunities for your station to interview with this campaign are unlikely, at best for the duration of the remaining days until the election."

The reason McGinnis cited for this decision was because of the "experience" Joe Biden had when he was asked some tougher-than-expected questions.

WFTV news director Bob Jordan said "Mr. Biden didn't like the questions. We choose not to ask softball questions."

More news on Biden comes to us via LA Times' Top of the Ticket's Andrew Malcolm, who shows that when it comes to access to him from the press, Biden has been muzzled by the Obama campaign.

Democratic votes anyway, Biden's probably right. Look how well he did during the Democratic primaries. Sure wasn't an 18 million-vote-getter.

And Biden has not held a press availability since Sept. 7, three days before that gaffe, on his plane en route to Big Sky Country.

That means for almost seven of the eight weeks between the Republican convention and the Nov. 4 election Biden's been gagged to the media. How much of a plus can this guy be to the over-funded Obama campaign if he's forbidden from chatting up even his own media crowd?

And if he's so ready to become president in a skipped heartbeat, what conceivable crowd questions are so scary they've, in effect, been forbidden? Besides "Do you think Hillary Clinton should have won?"

Politicians don't usually go missing like that until after they've become vice presidents.

Then Malcolm points out that Biden also has not taken questions from the audiences of his rallies since he made that fateful comment about Hillary Clinton "might" have made a better vice presidential pick for Obama, back on Sept. 10, 2008. (Video here)

More from Top of the Ticket:

Tapper notes, fairly, that a Biden spokesman (is that job really necessary under the circumstances?) disagrees with that assessment. But then the political veteran adds: "in terms of general availability to their traveling press corps, Biden's and Palin's roles are switching."

Does anybody seriously think that if the trend was going the other way, we would not have heard by now endless accounts of her hiding?

ABC News' Political Punch recently confirmed that Palin has become much more accessible to the press than both Obama and Biden.

Truly I cannot blame the Obama campaign here since almost everything Biden does say publicly has been able to be used against Obama in a spectacular manner.

For example, the Hillary Clinton remark, his clean coal comments last month and his most recent gaffe informing supporters and getting caught on audio, that electing Barack Obama will cause an "international crisis" within the first six months of his presidency as he is "tested".

Perhaps they are right to keep Biden muzzled.

Berg v Obama Citizenship Dismissed in Philadelphia Court

Cross-posted by Maggie at Maggie's Notebook

This photo is not a subliminal message - it's a threat

Philip Berg's lawsuit against Barack Obama and the DNC has been dismissed in a Philadelphia Federal Court.

Jeff Schreiber at America's Right is reporting that Judge Surrick finds that Berg lacks "standing," and further from Schreiber:
A judge’s attitude toward the factual foundation of a plaintiff’s claims is an essential factor in understanding just who indeed has standing to sue. The question running to the heart of the standing doctrine is whether or not the plaintiff indeed has a personal stake in the outcome of the otherwise justiciable matter being adjudicated. As has been discussed before many times here at America’s Right, a plaintiff wishing to have standing to sue must show (1) a particularized injury-in-fact, (2) evidence showing that that the party being sued actually caused the plaintiff’s particularized injury-in-fact, and (3) that adjudication of the matter would actually provide redress.

In this case, Judge Surrick’s attitude toward the evidence presented by Berg to support his allegations figures in heavily because, while there is a three-pronged test to standing in itself, there is no definitive test by which the court can determine whether a certain harm is enough to satisfy the first element of that three-pronged test by showing true injury-in-fact. Traditionally, it hasn’t taken much to satisfy the need for an injury-in-fact, but as the plaintiff’s claimed injury is perceived as being more remote, more creative, or more speculative, the injury-in-fact requirement becomes more difficult to satisfy.
What this means is that our Federal courts do not consider a possible fraudlent filing for the office of U.S. President, possible fraudlent campaign for President and possible fraudlent taking of the oath of office, and stepping into the Oval Office as an "injury" to the people of this country. That's the bottom line. Until an unqualified person actually takes the office, "we the people" have not been injured.

So who does have standing, Schrieber asks: "According to the Hon. R. Barclay Surrick, that's completely up to Congress to decide."
If, through the political process, Congress determines that citizens, voters, or party members should police the Constitution’s eligibility requirements for the Presidency, then it is free to pass laws conferring standing on individuals like Plaintiff. Until that time, voters do not have standing to bring the sort of challenge that Plaintiff attempts to bring in the Amended Complaint.
Assuming this is true, are we so naive as to think that Congress does not know this?

Maybe the DNC has properly vetted their candidate, but it appears they may not have done so, simply because they have not put this matter to rest.

I have had numerous commenters claiming that the DNC knows his citizenship status - because, as one commenter said "they check these things, you know." Well, if that is so, why would the Senate not have stepped up with a non-binding resolution declaring his natural born status, as they did on John MaCain's behalf? How incredible is this?

Marine Corps Marathon Forward

TEAM Iraq at the MCM Forward

Running in support of TAPS!

Last week I told you about the Marine Corps Marathon. See that story here.

This weekend will see thousands of runners - Marines, Marine families and friends - running to honour their fallen brothers and sisters in arms. One special team is team Eli, and Eli's family will be participating in the run raising money for TAPS.

Eli1
TAPS team - Running for Eli
Parker family

What you may not know is that while the Run and Remember is taking place in the US, in Washington, thousands of miles away, Marines in Al Asad, Iraq will also be running.

These 150 servicemen and women are part of MCM Forward. This is the third year that the Marathon has been run in Iraq simultaneously with Washington:

More than 6,000 miles away from the start of the Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) in Arlington, Virginia on October 26th, 2008, hundreds of service members and contractors will run to honor our fallen heroes - but they'll be doing it in the sands of Al-Anbar Province, Iraq. And there's a way for you to show your support for their service and help families of the fallen!

Their 26.2 mile test of endurance, known as the "MCM Forward," will honor service members from all service branches in Iraq and Afghanistan who have given their lives in service to our country. You can honor their commitment by contributing funds to help those left behind. We are asking the American public to pledge $1,000 per runner to honor their run and support TAPS, the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors.

[here]

From TAPS official Press Release:

It's especially poignant and fitting that the first steps of the Marine Corps Marathon this year will be run in Iraq in memory of our fallen heroes," said Bonnie Carroll, founder and chairman of TAPS.

Funds raised by the runners in Iraq will support TAPS programs to help families losing loved ones who serve in the military, providing much needed support for Good Grief Camps for children, case management support services for grieving families and the quarterly magazine TAPS produces for surviving families...

They are unofficially dedicating this year's run to US Marine Corps Major Megan M. McClung. McClung promoted the Marine Corps Marathon Forward in 2006, and was killed in December 2006.

Running in memory of McClung is very important to the runners, say organizers. "Thanks to her witty and charming personality and dedication to mission and commitment to fitness challenges, we are able to continue this annual event here in Iraq in support of the service members who wish to challenge themselves and dedicate this race to our fallen heroes," said Nadeau. "I know she will be smiling at all the runners and volunteers as they take part in the event in Al Asad on October 26, 2008 to coincide with the stateside race."

More information about donating to support a runner participating in the Marine Corps Marathon Forward in Iraq is available on the TAPS website here.

Major Megan M. McClung (April 14, 1972– December 6, 2006) was the first female United States Marine Corps officer killed in combat during the Iraq War. Maj McClung was serving as a public affairs officer in Al Anbar Province, Iraq when she was killed. (source)

For those of us unable to be in Washington - or in Iraq - we can watch the Run live. The Marine Corps Marathon: The People's Marathon, can be followed every step of the way. On their site, they have full instructions and links to lead you to the action. That is here: MCM

There will be approximately 30,000 runners in Washington this weekend. Through the miracles of modern technology, we CAN cheer on all the amazing runners in this 33rd Marine Corps Marathon - TAPS Run and Remember - from anywhere in the world.

Semper Fi, Marines.

Be sure and read below for stories of a few of the special runners in Marine Corps Marathon.

Marine Corps Marathon - Special Runners

Some of the TAPS runners include:

Sixteen-year-old Katrina Wert, lost her father, US Marine Corps Master Sergeant Michael Wert, when he drowned while saving two boys at a North Carolina beach. Katrina helped her father in the water rescue, hauling the boogie board for the two boys who nearly drowned. Master Sergeant Wert was an intelligence chief for the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing at Cherry Point and had served in Operation Desert Storm and supported Operation Iraqi Freedom. Following his death, Katrina, an avid cross country runner, gave up her sport. But after hearing about the TAPS team in the Marine Corps Marathon, she decided to run to honor the memory of her father. Her younger brother, Michael, age 8, will honor their dad in the Healthy Kids Fun Run.

Jaime Boris will run the Marine Corps Marathon this year only weeks before the first anniversary of her husband's death in Afghanistan. US Army Captain David Boris, was killed with his gunner, Sgt. Adrian Hike, when an IED exploded on November 12, 2007.. Jaime wrote: "I am running to honor Dave and Adrian and to fulfill the plan that Dave and I had to run the Marine Corps Marathon together. Dave was not only my husband and my best friend; he was also my favorite running partner. I ran my first marathon, the 2004 Marine Corps Marathon, while he was deployed to Iraq. After he returned, we trained for and ran two marathons together (Berlin 2005 and Vienna 2006) and planned to run the MCM together after we moved back to the US from Germany. This October 26th I know he will be with me for all 26.2 miles as our friends and I run for TAPS in his honor."

When Renny Parker ran the Marine Corps Marathon in 2006 for the very first time, it was only months after the death of his son, US Marine Corps Sergeant Eli Parker, who was killed while conducting combat operations in Iraq. Renny ran again in 2007, and now has recruited nine of Eli's friends and family members to run with him. His wife Donna is also running the 10K at the Marine Corps Marathon this year. Renny wrote, "I live in central New York and I'm running the marathon in memory of my son, Marine Sgt. Elisha Parker, who was killed in Iraq on May 4, 2006. I also run and remember those close to Eli who gave their lives in Iraq: Cpl. Tyler Fey, LCpl. Robert Moscillo, Cp. Stephen Bixler, and others."

Xiomara Hall's husband left for Iraq in February 2008, leaving her at home with their four children. Then in March she received the knock on the door that every military family dreads, and found out that the love of her life, US Marine Corps Lt. Col. William G. Hall, had been killed in combat operations. Xiomara will run her first marathon at the Marine Corps Marathon and has organized an entire team of friends and family members to run alongside her for TAPS as Team Semper Fi. Their daughter, Tatianna, age 7, will run the Healthy Kids Fun Run in memory of her dad.

Mark Hurst (bib #25,226) is running in memory of Captain Eric "Boot" Das, who was killed in action in 2003 while flying an F15-E over Iraq. Hurst was part of the ground team send to recover his remains from the failed mission. He and his family have become close with Das' widow, Captain Nicole Das. During a deployment in Afghanistan in May 2004, Hurst was wounded in action and would later lose an eye.

Amanda Dodson of Anchorage, Alaska, will run the Marine Corps Marathon with the helping words of her father and running partner, Gary Dodson, alongside. They're running in memory of Amanda's fiancé, US Army Corporal Jason Corbett, who died in Karmah, Iraq on January 15, 2007 while attempting to help a foot patrol from his platoon under enemy fire. Amanda writes, "Jason was an active athlete and outdoorsman. As much as Jason enjoyed running, participating in this marathon is a wonderful way to honor him." On her run, she will carry a photo he gave her before deploying.

The TAPS "Run and Remember" team began with one runner. In 1996, Marie Campbell lost her husband, US Air Force Sergeant Dee "Soup" Campbell, when a terrorist truck bomb exploded at the Khobar Towers in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia and took the lives of 19 air men. "TAPS helped me so much in those early years, and I ran the Marine Corps Marathon as part of my own healing," said Marie Campbell.

"Now I do this to give back to others who need grief and recovery support, so TAPS can continue to support the many surviving families who've lost someone serving in the military and are walking the road I once walked down," said Campbell. Today, Campbell is the director of the TAPS "Run and Remember" team, and organizes a 3-day event for the TAPS team. She'll be running her 8th marathon this year.

More on the "Funky" Obama Campaign Donations Scandal

National Journal does a good job in explaining the "funky" Campaign Donations Given to the Obama Campaign:

FEC Rules Leave Loopholes For Online Donation Data Reports Of Irregularities In Donations Under $200 Raise Questions Of Who Bears The Burden Of Filtering Out Improper Money by Neil Munro Friday, Oct. 24, 2008

The increasing use of online financial tools, debit cards and prepaid credit cards to make political contributions has created technological loopholes in federal and public oversight of campaign donations.

The result has been a recent spate of news stories raising questions about apparently implausible or suspicious donations to the presidential campaigns. Right-of-center activists also claim that Barack Obama's campaign has collected tens of millions of dollars from suspect overseas donors. Their complaints spurred the Republican National Committee on Oct. 6 to ask the Federal Election Commission for an investigation of the Obama donations.

To test the campaigns' practices, this author bought two pre-paid American Express gift cards worth $25 each to donate to the Obama and McCain campaigns online. As required by law, the campaigns' Web sites asked for, and National Journal provided, the donor's correct name, location and employment. The cards were purchased with cash at a Washington, D.C., drugstore, and the campaigns' Web sites were accessed through a public computer at a library in Fairfax County, Virginia.

The Obama campaign's Web site accepted the $25 donation, but the McCain campaign's Web site rejected it.

Rebecca Donatelli, president of Campaigns Solutions of Alexandria, Va., which processes donations for John McCain, said her system rejected the donation because American Express could not verify that the donor lived at the address given with the online contribution.

The McCain campaign does accept normal credit card donations because staffers can easily check whether the owner of the credit card shares the same billing address as the listed donor, she said. That address-check process costs the campaign about 12 cents, she said.

"We could lower our standards and accept more money... but this is John McCain's campaign, and he wants to root out fraud in fund raising and have everything open and as honest as possible," said Donatelli.

Obama campaign spokesman Nick Shapiro said, "We review our contributions to ensure that the information donors provide is complete and verifiable. We would only accept a contribution from a pre-paid credit card if the donor provides complete and verifiable information, consistent with FEC guidelines."

FEC spokesman Robert Biersack said, "The committees are responsible for providing accurate information about the identifying characteristics of their donor....

Whoopi Goldberg Forgot To Pay Her Brain Bill AGAIN

Well just when you think that Caryn "Whoopi Goldberg" Johnson can't say anything dumber she surprise us once again. The "View" host, whose only real talent is standing between Robin Williams and Billy Crystal during Comic Relief, had previously claimed that the US needed to pass a law every few years for African Americans to continue to be able to vote (she never heard that there was a constitutional amendment passed 150 years ago), now claims that terrorists have become more radical only because of President Bush.

Funny how this week we observed the 25th anniversary of the bombing of the military barracks in Beirut. Or During the Carter Administration the current president of Iran was taking over Iran. Man OH Man, Either Ms. Johnson is part of some sick TV prank or the woman is part of some secret CIA experiment in Artificial Stupidity, nobody can be this stupid naturally..can they? Elect Obama, Or Else: Police Prepare For Unrest

A note from Radarsite: In our previous article Elect Obama, Or Else we speculated on the possibility of civil unrest surrounding the outcome of this election, especially if Sen. Obama loses his bid for the White House. We were of course accused by some of fearmongering and promoting racial tensions, etc., just for reporting this story. Now however it seems we are not alone is considering this violent scenario to be a plausible threat. Below is a cross posting from the prestigious "The Hill". Once again, there is nothing we would like more than to be absolutely wrong about all of this. We can only wait and see. - rg

Police prepare for unrest
From The Hill.com

Police departments in cities across the country are beefing up their ranks for Election Day, preparing for possible civil unrest and riots after the historic presidential contest.
Public safety officials said in interviews with The Hill that the election, which will end with either the nation’s first black president or its first female vice president, demanded a stronger police presence.
Some worry that if Barack Obama loses and there is suspicion of foul play in the election, violence could ensue in cities with large black populations. Others based the need for enhanced patrols on past riots in urban areas (following professional sports events) and also on Internet rumors.

Democratic strategists and advocates for black voters say they understand officers wanting to keep the peace, but caution that excessive police presence could intimidate voters.
Sen. Obama (Ill.), the Democratic nominee for president, has seen his lead over rival Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) grow in recent weeks, prompting speculation that there could be a violent backlash if he loses unexpectedly.
Cities that have suffered unrest before, such as Detroit, Chicago, Oakland and Philadelphia, will have extra police deployed.
In Oakland, the police will deploy extra units trained in riot control, as well as extra traffic police, and even put SWAT teams on standby.
“Are we anticipating it will be a riot situation? No. But will we be prepared if it goes awry? Yes,” said Jeff Thomason, spokesman for the Oakland Police Department.
“I think it is a big deal — you got an African-American running and [a] woman running,” he added, in reference to Obama and GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin. “Whoever wins it, it will be a national event. We will have more officers on the street in anticipation that things may go south.”
The Oakland police last faced big riots in 2003 when the Raiders lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Super Bowl. Officials are bracing themselves in case residents of Oakland take Obama’s loss badly.

Political observers such as Hilary Shelton and James Carville fear that record voter turnout could overload polling places on Election Day and could raise tension levels.
Shelton, the director of the NAACP’s Washington bureau, said inadequate voting facilities is a bigger problem in poor communities with large numbers of minorities.
“What are local election officials doing to prepare for what people think will be record turnout at the polls?” said Shelton, who added that during the 2004 election in Ohio voters in predominantly black communities had to wait in line six to eight hours to vote.
“On Election Day, if this continues, you may have some tempers flare; we should be prepared to deal with that but do it without intimidation,” said Shelton, who added that police have to be able to maintain order at polling stations without scaring voters, especially immigrants from “police states.”

Carville, who served as a senior political adviser to former President Bill Clinton, said that many Democrats would be very angry if Obama loses. He noted that many Democrats were upset by Sen. John Kerry’s (D-Mass.) loss to President Bush in the 2004 election, when some Democrats made allegations of vote manipulation in Ohio, the state that ultimately decided the race.
Experts estimated that thousands of voters did not vote in Ohio because of poor preparation and long lines. Carville said Democratic anger in 2004 “would be very small to what would happen in 2008” if the same problems arose.
Carville said earlier this month that “it would be very, very, very dramatic out there” if Obama lost, a statement some commentators interpreted as predicting riots. In an interview Tuesday, however, Carville said he did not explicitly predict rioting.

“A lot of Democrats would have a great deal of angst and anger,” said Carville, who predicted that on Election Day “the voting system all around the country is going to be very stressed because there’s going to be enormous turnout.”
Other commentators have made such bold predictions.
“If [Obama] is elected, like with sports championships, people may go out and riot,” said Bob Parks, an online columnist and black Republican candidate for state representative in Massachusetts. “If Barack Obama loses there will be another large group of people who will assume the election was stolen from him….. This will be an opportunity for people who want to commit mischief.”
Speculation about Election-Day violence has spread on the Internet, especially on right-wing websites.

This has caught the attention of police departments in cities such as Cincinnati, which saw race riots in 2001 after police shot a young black man.
“We’ve seen it on the Internet and we’ve heard that there could be civil unrest depending on the outcome of [the election,]” said Lt. Mark Briede of the Cincinnati Police Department. “We are prepared to respond in the case of some sort of unrest or some sort of incident.”
Briede, like other police officials interviewed, declined to elaborate on plans for Election Day. Many police departments have policies prohibiting public discussion of security plans.
James Tate, second deputy chief of Detroit’s police department, said extra manpower would be assigned to duty on Election Night. He said problems could flare whichever candidate wins.

“Either party will make history and we want to prepare for celebrations that will be on a larger scale than for our sports teams,” Tate said.
He noted that police had to control rioters who overturned cars after the Tigers won the 1984 World Series.
“We’re prepared for the best-case scenario, we’re prepared for the worst-case scenario,” he said. “The worst-case scenario could be a situation that requires law enforcement.”
But Tate declined to describe what the worst-case scenario might look like, speaking gingerly like other police officials who are wary of implying that black voters are more likely than other voting groups to cause trouble.
Shelton, of the NAACP, said he understands the need for police to maintain order. But he is also concerned that some political partisans may point their finger at black voters as potential troublemakers because the Democratic nominee is black.
Shelton said any racial or ethnic group would get angry if they felt disenfranchised because of voting irregularities.

Police officials in Chicago, where Obama will hold a Nov. 4 rally, and Philadelphia are also preparing for Election Day.
“The Chicago Police Department has been meeting regularly to coordinate our safety and security plans and will deploy our resources accordingly,” said Monique Bond, of the Chicago Police Department.
Frank Vanore, of the Philadelphia Police Department, said officials were planning to mobilize to control exuberant or perhaps angry demonstrations after the World Series, which pits the Phillies against the Tampa Bay Rays.
He said the boosted police activity would “spill right over to the election.”

Are Hanging Halloween Displays Racial Or Just Hatefilled?

A few incidents with Halloween displays have come to my attention and like others I assumed that a dark mannequin hanging from a tree in Greenfield, Wisconsin, absolutely had to be racial in tone.

Natural assumption when some moron displays a noose with a dark figure hanging from it right?

This specific "display" was removed after outraged people complained saying they found it offensive and it hit the news.

Fair enough. Racial, hate ridden idiots do stupid things.

Black racists and white racists do stupid things, but why does one group get more attention than the other?

How about when a "display" shows John McCain dressed in a KKK outfit with another figure dressed as Barack Obama is displayed as running from him?

That racist too, on the other side of the coin?

How about when it is a white person "displayed" as hanging from a noose, like the one seen in the picture below, representing Sarah Palin?

So? Was this somehow "racially" motivated as well or can it be, just possibly, that there are hate filled idiots in this world who think the KKK, nooses and hanging well known figures out in their yards for so-called Halloween displays, are amusing?

If you call one racist, then what do you call the other examples?

Thanks to AM for the email with the Palin hanging figure.

Quote of the Day – Friday October 24

"I think [Sarah] Palin will continue to be underestimated for a while. I watched the way she connected with people, and she's powerful. Her politics aren't my politics. But you can see that she's a very powerful, very disciplined, incredibly gracious woman. This was her first time out and she's had a huge impact. People connect to her."

The New York Times Drops Into The Toilet

(Cross-posted from America Needs Me)

And finds an endorsement for Barack Obama.

A day after watching its stock tank and reporting third quarter losses that would embarrass the Detroit Lions, the New York Times went ahead and formalized its Obamafication.

The endorsement is so full of pandering lefty hyperbole that one wonders if they aren't in secret negotiations to have Hugo Chavez nationalize the paper.

Look at some of the garbage from Pravda on the Hudson contained in this article.

Mr. Obama has met challenge after challenge, growing as a leader and putting real flesh on his early promises of hope and change. He has shown a cool head and sound judgment. We believe he has the will and the ability to forge the broad political consensus that is essential to finding solutions to this nation’s problems.

What challenges has this guy faced? That one reporter who wouldn't lie for him? Those twelve times he actually had to show up in the Senate and vote on something? Obama has led the most charmed political life in history. He continually makes bad decisions and forms alliances with people who would be an embarrassment to most back alley crack dealers. When any of these decisions or alliances come to light, under the bus they go. The MSM doesn't ever ask questions about the ever growing population under the bus. They all just stand around saying, "What bus?"

Regarding McCain:

In the same time, Senator John McCain of Arizona has retreated farther and farther to the fringe of American politics, running a campaign on partisan division, class warfare and even hints of racism. His policies and worldview are mired in the past. His choice of a running mate so evidently unfit for the office was a final act of opportunism and bad judgment that eclipsed the accomplishments of 26 years in Congress.

Sure, John McCain is on the fringe of politics. In Cuba. In North Korea. In Venezuela. And thanks for that Race Card. Hadn't seen one dealt in almost four minutes. At what point do unsubstantiated charges of racism become libelous?

Given the particularly ugly nature of Mr. McCain’s campaign, the urge to choose on the basis of raw emotion is strong. But there is a greater value in looking closely at the facts of life in America today and at the prescriptions the candidates offer. The differences are profound.

It's easy to see from the way it's all been prefaced that the facts will get a fair looking at, right?

I won't even quote any more here. If you've heard a Barack Obama talking points list, you already know everything that's in the rest of the endorsement.

That the Times is endorsing Obama isn't surprising. What is astonishing is how unhinged the endorsement is. That it comes on the heels of the piss-poor earnings announcement is the real story of this rag.

There is a simple reason that the New York Times is still considered "the newspaper of record" but can't earn as much money as a part time employee at Hot Dog On A Stick: everyone who works there is out of his or her freakin' mind.

It's a newspaper with a national reach but an influence that's largely confined to a small area of Manhattan. The entire company is being eaten alive by a hubris fueled ignorance that makes its editors almost completely unaware of what actually goes on in America.

They're so stupid that no one there will ever understand the connection between the in-the-sewer profits and the latter-day hippie commentary in the Obama endorsement. It's the short bus of newspaper editorial boards.

My guess is that the real reason its editors have affixed their lips to Obama's ass is that they are all hoping for a government bailout once that last dollar is spent on Chai tea and retouching Maureen Dowd's headshots to make her look like she's from this century.

The Times can have Obama. If he wins, it will be a race to see which one of them implodes first.

Obama's Nasty Habit of Blaming Subordinates

One of the marks of a truly lousy leader is publicly placing blame on their subordinates. In most cases the subordinate is being blamed unfairly, and even when the staff is at fault, publicly shifting the blame reflects an unwillingness to shoulder any responsibility.

According To ABC's Jake Tapper, Obama Has Blamed His Staff On At Least 14 Occasions. "So, for those keeping track at home, that's ten instances of Obama publicly blaming his staff for various screw-ups. ... (You of course could also add Austan Goolsbee, Samantha Power, Gordon Fischer, and retired Gen. Tony McPeak.) That would be 14. We will continue to keep track." (Jake Tapper, "Obama's Inability To Hire Good Help Rears Its Head ... Again," ABC's "Political Punch" Blog, blogs.abcnews.com, 5/12/08)

Senator Barack Obama has a bad habit of shifting the blame. How does he intend to bear the burden of the leadership of the free world, if he is to weak to shoulder any responsibility. Just Click here to see some examples.

Obama Supporter Attacks McCain Supporter And Carves Letter B Into Her Face: Updated --HOAX!

[Update] Police tell KDKA it’s a hoax.

Now they need to charge her with filing a false police report.

Original post:

Well two themes here, evidently Obama supporters are really gung-ho about that "spread the wealth" idea of Barack Obama's, and Democrats tend to be less happy people than Republicans are, by a larger margin than ever before

First off, a 20 year-old woman, Ashley Todd of College Station and a McCain supporter, Texas, was allegedly robbed for $60 dollars after she used an ATM machine.

Todd alleges the Obama supporter approached her putting a knife to her throat and demanded $60.00 from her.

How do we know the assailant was an Obama supporters?

Well, glad you asked!!!

After seeing Todd's car has a McCain/Palin bumper sticker, Todd alleges the thief became enraged and then punched and kicked her, then took his knife and carved the letter "B" into her face, according to Pittsburgh police spokeswoman Diane Richard.

The man also had angry things to say about McCain and Palin before starting to carve Todd's face up.

Todd handed the man $60 she had in her pocket and stepped away from him, investigators said. The man then noticed the bumper sticker on the woman's car, which was parked in front of the ATM. The man became very angry, made comments to Todd about John McCain and punched her in the back of the head, knocking her to the ground, police said.

"He continued to kick and punch her repeatedly and said he would teach her a lesson for supporting John McCain," said police Chief Nate Harper.

The robber is described as a dark-skinned black man, 6 feet 4 inches tall, 200 pounds with a medium build, short black hair and brown eyes. The man was wearing dark colored jeans, a black undershirt and black shoes.

The Obama campaign issued a statement condemning this attack.

[Update] There are many questions being asked about this case and whether this woman manufactured the whole story.

On another note, perhaps the reason why we notice so much consistent anger from Democrats is explained by the latest Pew Research report.

Pew Research just came out with a report showing that Republicans are happier people than Democrats.

Well, Republicans are different from Democrats. How so? Let us count the ways.

* They have more money.2
* They have more friends.3
* They are more religious.4
* They are healthier.5
* They are more likely to be married.6
* They like their communities better.7
* They like their jobs more.8
* They are more satisfied with their family life.9
* They like the weather better.10
* They have fewer financial worries.11
* They're more likely to see themselves doing better in life than their parents did.12
* They're more likely to feel that individuals - rather than outside forces - control their own success or failure.13
* They have more of what they most value in life. (No, it's not money).14

Explains so much, doesn't it?

John McCain Ad: 'I am Joe'- Obama's Tax Plan Is A Tax On The American Dream

John McCain has a new video release, powerful with ordinary working Americans fighting for their piece of the American dream and one specific comment from one of the people speaking in the video says that "Obama's plan is a tax on the American Dream".

The video is 1 minute 30 seconds long, found at YouTube here and shown below:

Good video.

Pew Research Shows Media Definitely In The Tank For Obama. BONUS--Voters Know It!!

Examples of the medias attempt to influence the presidential election has been shown numerous times, here and elsewhere online, but Pew Research takes it a step further and shows exactly how in the tank the media is for Barack Obama.

For Obama during this period, just over a third of the stories were clearly positive in tone (36%), while a similar number (35%) were neutral or mixed. A smaller number (29%) were negative.

For McCain, by comparison, nearly six-in-ten stories studied were decidedly negative in nature (57%), while fewer than two-in-ten (14%) were positive.

Journalism.org shows that Palin, unlike what the media likes to report, has not been a drag on the McCain/Palin ticket at all:

As for Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, her coverage had an up and down trajectory, moving from quite positive, to very negative, to more mixed. What drove that tone toward a more unfavorable light was probing her public record and her encounters with the press. Little of her trouble came from coverage of her personal traits or family issues. In the end, she also received less than half the coverage of either presidential nominee, though about triple that of her vice presidential counterpart, Joe Biden.

The findings suggest that, in the end, Palin’s portrayal in the press was not the major factor hurting McCain. Her coverage, while tilting negative, was far more positive than her running mate’s.

Thanks to reader Kim R, we also see that despite the media's obvious attempts to harm John McCain in favor of Barack Obama, the IBD/TIPP Tracking Poll, which in 2004, the Final Certified Results for TIPP showed them to be the "most accurate pollster of the campaign season", has the polling numbers far closer than has been reported to date.

IBD/TIPP Poll shows a sudden tightening of Obama's lead to 3.7 from 6.0. McCain has picked up 3 points in the West and with independents, married women and those with some college. He's also gaining momentum in the suburbs, where he's gone from dead even a week ago to a 20-point lead.

BONUS!!!!

Looks like despite the media trying to insist to everyone that the race is over, the voters and respondents of the polls know the media is in the tank for Obama according to another Pew Research piece titled "Most Voters Say News Media Wants Obama to Win."

Voters overwhelmingly believe that the media wants Barack Obama to win the presidential election. By a margin of 70%-9%, Americans say most journalists want to see Obama, not John McCain, win on Nov. 4. Another 8% say journalists don't favor either candidate, and 13% say they don't know which candidate most reporters support.

Get out and vote, it does count. The voters are on to the media's game, their bias and their lies.

Prairie Fire, William Ayers Admits To Being A Communist

ZombieTime has managed to get their hands on a copy of William Ayers' book Prairie Fire to which they uploaded and provide some very interesting passages.

Furthermore: Obama and his supporters at first claimed he barely knew who Ayers was, but when public awareness of the connections between Obama and Ayers became too numerous and too strong to deny, Obama's supporters have now begun resorting to a fallback position: that William Ayers wasn't such a bad guy after all, and that it is no shame to be associated with him.

They also provide proof that Ayers is the one who wrote the book, Prairie Fire... Ayers himself admits it.

These are simply teasers from ZombieTime in a very good investigative article with more passages scanned and shown, terrifying acts of Domestic terrorism conducted on US Soil by Ayers and the Weather Underground group.

ZombieTime put a lot of effort into their investigation, something one would expect the mainstream media to do, but of course they haven't.

Go look, read the whole thing.

Elect Obama, Or Else: Revisited

A note from Radarsite: On reposting previously published articles: If the issues addressed in a previously published Radarsite article are still pertinent and the questions raised still remain unanswered, then we will repost the article, both as a reminder of unfinished business, and of course for those who may not have read the original. For those of you who have read this piece the first time around, just skip over it. Thanks. - rg
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Can you smell it? There's a faint whiff of anarchy in the air. Nothing to get alarmed about. Not yet, anyway. Just a barely discernible unarticulated threat, a mere suggestion of a threat. But nonetheless it is there.

The voices are just whispers now, soft and faraway, but they are angry and determined: It is our time now, they are saying. You have had your time and you have used it to oppress us, to keep us down. But it is our time now. And you had better not interfere. For generations we have waited for this moment and we will not be deprived. It is our time now, and if you know what's good for you, you'd better step aside.

Of course, no one has actually come right out and said it quite this way, but there have been hints, there is something in the air. If Obama is not elected in November --

On his Fox News radio show, Tom Sullivan predicted that African-Americans would be rioting in the streets similar to what happened after the O.J. trial in the 1990s.
Let me put it to you a different way. What if Barack Obama is not -- does not win the Democratic nomination, or he does win it, and loses in the presidential race against John McCain? Is black America going to throw their hands up and say, 'Man, you know, I thought we were getting somewhere in this country, but this is just a bunch of racial bigots in this country and they still hate blacks and, I mean, if Barack Obama can't get elected, then we're never gonna have anybody that's a black that's gonna be elected president.' And will there be riots in the streets? I think the answer to that is yes and yes.
http://factbeat.com/get_story.php?id=316

And these comments, all the way from India:

If Obama is not elected, it would destroy America because this time the blacks think that America has the best possible candidate that it has got the opportunity to elect as its president.

If Obama is not elected, the blacks would feel being cheated and would rightfully think that a great candidate has not been chosen just because of his skin colour and would be antagonised permanently.

For those well-intentioned observers amongst us, this 2008 presidential race has nothing whatsoever to do with race. They are still trying their level best to convince us all of this. The unprecedented fact of Obama's blackness, and it's symbolic meaning to African-Americans and, as we are beginning to see, to people of color around the world is to simply be ignored. In fact, they confidently reassure us, an Obama presidency would prove to the world that race doesn't matter in America, that we have moved beyond all that, that we have deeply regretted our shameful past and are willing to make amends. It is after all Time for Change. Change we can believe in.

But the question still remains: will our November elections, whatever their outcome, be but another example of Democracy in action, or could they be the OJ Simpson trial writ large?

Is this to be a presidential election, or a test of racial power? Are the issues really as simple as black and white -- or colored and white? Has it really come down to this? Us versus Them?

It is probably safe to say that to most Americans this presidential election is still about Republicans and Democrats, conservatives and liberals, the economy, national security, and the war in Iraq.
There are others, however, both here and abroad for whom this election represents something altogether different. If Barack Hussein Obama wins the Presidency of the United States of America this November then all is right with the world and Democracy is alive and well.
But if he loses the presidency, if he is deprived of the presidency, it would prove that white supremacy is still in control of the engines of power in America -- and furthermore, they say, if a black candidate with the following and support of a Barack Obama can't become president, then no black man will ever be allowed to become president. And this cannot be tolerated.

Perhaps more than any other American Presidential election in history, this 2008 contest is being watched by the whole world. To a surprising number of people around this world Barack Hussein Obama is not just a black American presidential candidate; he is the symbol for an oppressed race, a symbol for all of the oppressed colored peoples of this world, a champion in their fight against that never-ending blight of white post-colonialist oppression, a symbol of their righteous anger and the promise of racial retribution. For these unhappy souls, it truly is to be Us versus Them.

Will it be Watts 1965 redux if Obama loses his bid for the Presidency of the United States?

Does this election have anything at all to do with race?

We shall see.

Democrats Join With Al-Qaeda Trying Scare Voters Into Voting For Obama

We have often seen, written and posted about Democrats joining in with terrorists and al-Qaeda, siding with them, using their same arguments as if reading the same script and today we see it again.

The Washington Post writes a piece about al-Qaeda trying to scare American voters into voting for Barack Obama, by saying they want John McCain to win and connecting him to the financial crisis, even though Mccain was the one who proposed regulations for companies like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and Democrats opposed those restrictions, and what do the liberals in the blogosphere do?

The jump on the al-Qaeda bandwagon, joining them in their quest to get Obama elected.

"Al-Qaeda will have to support McCain in the coming election," said a commentary posted Monday on the extremist Web site al-Hesbah, which is closely linked to the terrorist group. It said the Arizona Republican would continue the "failing march of his predecessor," President Bush.

Quite amusing, one has to wonder is it al-Qaeda mimicking Democrats or Democrats mimicking al-Qaeda?

My heavens they are so predictable, both Liberals and al-Qaeda.

NOT ALL BLACKS ARE VOTING FOR OBAMA

Before Obamabots start screaming racism at my headline, it isn't my headline, so go blow your stack elsewhere. It is a headline from the National Black Republican Association email I just received, so direct your idiocy to them if you have a problem with a young black man stating his reasons why he won't vote for Obama.

Same reasons we have been stating for a very long time..... Obama's bad policy stances.

In the email was a simple YouTube URL, video below entitled "BTW I'm Voting For McCain / Palin."

This young man is a musician and he states loud and clear all the reasons why he is voting for McCain/Palin.

As he states, taxes are not a racial issue. Abortion is not a racial issue. The Second Amendment is not a racial issue...etc....

Here is a related video by the same guy, this one is only 1 minute 11 seconds, much shorter than the one above, but his points are clearly stated as to why he is a Republican.

[Update] as an added bonus just as a FYI, the new AP presidential poll among likely voters, shows Obama's lead down from 8 points to one point. AP usually goes the other way.

Palin Speaks About Hillary Clinton: 'Barack Obama couldn't bring himself to pick the woman who got eighteen million votes in the primary'

Video below is Sarah Palin in Henderson Nevada, YouTube URL here.

On a stump speech in Nevada, Sarah Palin spoke to the women in the audience, standing on stage with two "higher-profile defectors from Sen. Hillary Clinton's camp -- Lynn Rothschild, a member of the Democratic Platform Committee, and Elaine Lafferty, a former editor-in-chief of Ms. Magazine," as well as others which included, Shelly Mandell, the president of the Los Angeles chapter of the National Organization for Women, Linda Klinge, the vice president of Oregon's NOW chapter and Prameela Bartholomeusz, a small business owner and member of the Democratic National Platform Committee.

Palin pointed to Obama's audacity and hypocrisy in not choosing nor vetting Hillary Clinton for the vice presidential spot on the Democratic ticket, despite the overwhelming support she had.

"When the time came to make a decision, Barack Obama couldn't bring himself to pick the woman who got eighteen million votes in the primary," Palin said of Obama's vice presidential pick, comparing it to the discrimination women face in the workplace every day. "The qualifications are there, but for some reason the promotion never comes ... You've got to ask yourself, why wasn't Senator Hillary Clinton even vetted by the Obama campaign?"

"Our opponents think they have the women's vote all locked up, which is a little presumptuous," she said, as the crowd's roar of approval drowned her out. "A little presumptuous, and only our side has a woman on the ticket."

The Sarah launched into more hypocrisy of Obama, who talks the talk, but doesn't walk the walk on equal rights for women:

"There is a difference between what Barack Obama says and what he does," she declared. "Out on the stump, he talks about things like equal pay for equal work, but according to Senate records, women on his staff get just 83 cents for every dollar that the men get. What is with that? Does he think that the women aren't working as hard? Does he think they're 17 percent less productive?"

"I know one senator who does pay women equal pay," she added, referring to McCain.

Another example of Barack Obama saying one thing but doing another, as has been habit on the campaign trail.

He speaks "feel good" words, but when compared with his actual voting record, those words are empty as his suit.

Candidates will say almost anything to get elected, but the only true gauge of what they are, how they vote, what they believe and the only accurate indicator of all of the above, is how they voted previously.

The truth is in the public voting records of the candidates, not the flowery words they hope you will believe when they speak.

Here is McCain on the issues and here is Obama on the issues.

Actions speak louder than words.

I have been on the phone with Senators Inhofe (R-OK) and Coburn's (R-OK) office for much of the morning, also with their local offices, and the RNC local office.

I eventually spoke with a Legal Correspondent in Senator Inhofe's office. I've spoken to the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee and the U.S. Senate Ethics Committee. Here's what I got from those combined conversations:

There is no process to validate a candidate's natural-born citizenship status before filing for the office of The President.

Once a non-natural-born candidate is elected President, anyone can spend their hard-earned money to bring a lawsuit. One such a person is elected, then the "people" have been injured.

It is not an "injury" to the people for a candidate, knowing that he/she is not natural-born, to file illegally, campaign illegally and win illegally.

No one can confirm which, or if, either of our esteemed bodies of Congress is/are required to challenge non-natural-born status.

It seems we can be injured by having a Big Mac for lunch, but not by our governing bodies loosely and irresponsibly thwarting the U.S. Constitution.

The House and the Senate will not get into this. It's up to the "people."

Interesting Polling Information

Obama's Quote from a fundraising breakfast in New York: "For those of you who are feeling giddy or cocky and think this is all set, I just [have] two words for you: New Hampshire. You know I've been in these positions before where we were favored and the press starts getting carried away and we end up getting spanked. And so that's another good lesson that Hillary Clinton taught me."

DJ Drummond over at Wizbang has been doing some research into polling organizations and the latest article has some very interesting facts provided, so I suggest you read the whole thing.
